NATIONAL JAMBOREE FOR SCOUTS & GUIDES 2013


GUIDELINES FOR REGIONAL YSB CHAIRPERSON GENERAL GUIDELINES:
1. The camp shall be held from 16 October 19 October 2013 in Islamabad. 2. Please ensure that these guidelines are communicated to all the local councils within your region. 3. Kindly make sure that the application forms must be filled by the applicant him/herself and a copy of CNIC/B-Form and a recent photograph is attached. 4. If the deadlines provided below are not met, AKYSBP will allocate the quota of the region to other regions. 5. The participation fee for the Jamboree is Rs.3000. 6. Transportation expenses shall be paid by the participant him/herself.

TIMELINES:
Please note the following deadlines for the application process: Task Sharing of information and documentation by Regional Council to Local Councils Announcement in Jamatkhanas and Guides/ Scouts Sunday Meetings Form submission (facilitated by scouts / guides leaders) at the Local Councils Local Council will submit forms to Regional YSB Regional YSB will submit 25 Guides and 25 Scouts Forms to AKYSBP office in Karachi National Board will interview the participants and will send the final list to Regional YSB Regional YSB will inform the participant and will collect their fees and submit to AKYSBP Participants confirmation and kit list circulation via email, phone and letter Guidelines email to Regional Chairs - Traveling Schedule of participants Timelines 29th August 01st Sep 07th Sep 10th Sep 15th Sep 22nd Sep 30th Sep 5th October 7th October

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE REGIONAL YSB:


1. The Jamboree is for (AKYSBP) community scouts and guides only. 2. Applicants shall be regular member of scouts / guides and should be enrolled in company / group for past 1year. 3. The age group of the applicants must be between 16 21 years. 40 % of the applicants shall be between 16 18 years while the remaining 60% should be between 18 21 years. This applies to both Scouts and Guides. 4. Please try to have participation from all local councils from your region. 5. Please do not select more than 2 applicants from the same family. 6. AKYSBP will support those who need financial assistance to pay the Jamboree participation fee. 7. Availability of participants in the total duration (4 days) of the camp is a must. 8. Differently abled persons (scouts & guides members) with hearing or speech challenges can apply. 9. All applicants must have their own CNIC / B-Form.
