Prevention
A major cause of plantar fasciitis is wearing shoes that provide inadequate arch and sole protection. When shoes dont fit well or give little protection and cushion, even walking can cause a major stress on the plantar fascia.
The best preventive measure is to choose good fitting shoes with adequate cushion and support. Delaying treatment can lead to worsening of symptoms. If home remedy doesnt help, the best thing is to see a podiatrist, a foot specialist or a kinsiologist at once. Even a mild ache, left untreated, can result in chronic pain.
