We hope and pray this newsletter finds you well. We continue to get settled into our roles and responsibilities and feel very blessed to be a part of this ministry and community. It is hard to describe what a typical day is like for us here, because were not sure weve had a typical day yet, or even what that would look like. But each day the Lord gives us what we need and continues to put people in our path to help us along the way. April and I figure we are walking six to seven miles a day during the week. Vivi Kate is not quite ready to ride her bike all the way to school by herself so, until she is, we are walking with her to lend her a hand on the hills if she needs it. After dropping them off at school, we walk to Casa de Fe which takes about 30 minutes. Since the girls dont eat lunch at school except on Friday, we go back to get them for lunch. And then its back one more time at the end of the day. We enjoy the walking, just not so much in the rain. And in a week or so, maybe well all be able to ride our bikes together. But we have been blessed with good health and the ability to walk or ride our bikes with no problem. Recently, Casa de Fe received three new children, two brothers and a sister from the same family, so now the home is providing for 77 children. Just try and imagine the sights, sounds and logistics of getting through one day with 77 kids! Sometimes when we walk through the door, we just stare in amazement. Its like being behind the scenes at a restaurant and a Broadway play, both on opening night, plus getting 77 kids ready for the first day of school, all rolled into one. Everyday! We cant overemphasize how important you are to this ministry and how blessed we are to have your prayers and support each month.

One thing April and I have prayed about is being able to take some of the kids home with us for the weekend. We have a ministry budget but there is not much in there. We kept our budget as low as possible to allow us to get to here as fast possible. So, we would need a little help if we are to do this on a consistent basis. We want the children to be a part of our family, even if its just for a weekend at a time, and let them just be kids for a while. They really enjoy the time they get to spend with families. Ultimately, Casa de Fes plan is to build houses that will have houseparents and several children living in each house. That is the goal.
