Spiritual Warfare Part 3

You should also note that Jesus was never sick. He touched lepers and never caught
leprosy. Sickness comes from sin. We are not supposed to die from diseases. Did Moses?
Was he weak, or sick. No. True we die, but dying in sick beds in hospitals is from sin.
God does not need to make a person sick and weak and of unsound mind before they die.

Sickness and disease is a curse, read Deut. 28. God calls it a curse. How do you feel
about drug commercials on TV now. Hey it's flu and cold season so plan on getting sick.
Believe you're going to get sick. Look at this sick person, that's what it'll be like for you.
Forget about sin, that's not scientific, just believe you're going to catch some disease from
someone. Then buy our medicine we like being rich.

James 5:14 " Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let
them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of
faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins,
they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Where it says and if he committed sins, in the Greek the word for if is absent. The word
translated as " faults" by the King James translators is Strong's #3900 and it is very close
in meaning to sin with an emphasis on the act being a slip or an unintentional mistake.
You can see here that the confession and forgiveness of sins is related to healing. If you
walk through it backwards, it is the sin that brings on the sickness, since the sins must be
removed (confessed and forgiven) to effect the healing. By the way the elders should be
ready to go to the sick if they are called, and the people have the right to call for the
elders to come to them. Read Mk.2:9:

" Whether it is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say
Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk."

You see Jesus is laying it all out for you. Read it, believe it and walk in it. In Jn.5:13 - 14
Jesus talks on the same subject having seen the same man in the temple:

"And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a
multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto
him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

The Lord explains it here for the man and of course for us readers. Sin brought the
sickness on the person. Got it. The warning was to not go back into sin or something
worse would happen. There is a similar discourse regarding demons being cast out of
someone and them returning with seven more. Read Lk.11:24 - 26:

" When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking
rest; and findeth none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And he
cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other
spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of
that man is worse than the first."

The evil spirits couldn't just go back in, in the absence of sin. By the way please note the
demon doesn't instantly come back in the person as some teach. Remember the time Jesus
rebukes a fever. The words read similar to the way he rebuked demons.

Lk.4:38 - 39 " And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And
Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. And
he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and
ministered unto them."

Jesus treated disease and demon possession in a most similar way. Sin brings about both.
False believers lack healing so they will become infuriated with this teaching but that is
their problem. Remember we read of the special miracles regarding Paul.

Acts 19: 11 - 12 " And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that
from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases
departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them."

The people are set free from both diseases and demons in the same way, yet the scriptures
differentiate between demons and diseases. We all know a person gets a demon due to
sin, Right. No deep explanations needed. If you touch a person with a demon, you're not
going to get a demon just because you touched that person. You don't just get on a
crowded bus full of people with demons and get off the bus with a demon in you.
Correct. The evil workers of Satan want you to believe that you can just get sick by being
around people that are sick, but on the other hand they say certain diseases won't spread
via contact. For instance strepp throat spreads by contact but brain tumors don't.

Okay, how do people get these diseases that don't spread by contact ? They claim heredity
for some of these but not all. You see how it starts to fall apart ! When the true church of
the Lord Jesus Christ begins to walk in correct doctrine, sickness and disease will be one
area in which our lives will be distinctly different (better) from the ungodly. Now Satan
doesn't want this, it's a bad witness from his point of view since it glorifies God. He
wants us getting sick just like his evil children. You don't need an HMO all you need is
correct doctrine. Insurance is an investment based on faith that something tragic will
happen to you. Trust God, not man. Governments fail. The money of a country can
become worthless overnight. Banks fail. Wars, earthquakes, floods, fires, tidal waves,
plagues, etc. can destroy countries and economies.

Read what happened to Egypt in the Book of Exodus. God through Moses wrecked the
place. It appears the Two Witnesses will do likewise to many countries at the same time.
Insurance companies can even go bankrupt. The ungodly that don't trust in God look to
man for support and trust. This is a very deceptive source to put your trust in. Just a good
power outage will essentially render a hospital of little value after their spare power runs
out in a few days or so. That means no operating rooms, no sterilizers, no monitoring
equipment, no respirators, no heat, no a/c, etc. People work their whole life to save up
what amounts to a computer entry in a bank. This bank can one day be closed and they
are broke with no one to turn to. If they have a safe at home full of paper money the same
thing can happen. One day they wake up to find that their paper money has become
almost worthless and their wealth has decreased by 95% and they are almost broke. Who
will they call on? What about people storing diamonds, gold and silver? What if a thief
breaks in and steals it? What if a panicking government (any government in the world)
says it's illegal to own gold or silver bullion and confiscates it for their own reserves,
giving you paper money in exchange. Think of these rich people that store such riches
worrying about them all day and night.

Doctors and hospitals say they can't even cure a common cold. People get sicknesses and
diseases that the doctors say they can't cure and the people accept this and resign
themselves to dying as the doctors tell them they will. Is your Bible false. Can you need
call for the elders, have them anoint you with oil and confess your sins, be forgiven and
healed ? Of course you can but it won't work if you call elders from the false church, will
it ! This elaborate health care system is a substitute for the healing provided us in the
New Testament. The hospitals and doctors are a lousy substitute. God can cure any
disease or affliction and will do so through the laying on of hands and the anointing with
oil by the elders as the Apostolic doctrines tell us, but this requires correct congregations
with real elders. No disease is exempt from God's healing, None. Got it.

Look what is going on here can give you some insight into how Satan works. The false
churches are a key part of his plan. Satan's real enemy is the believer. He snared lots of us
with his false churches. We were in sin - fellowshipping incorrectly, going to churches
with off course doctrines and practices, etc. We knew all these things were in the Bible,
having read the Bible but it just never grabbed us enough to shake us free. This is the
blindness that sin brings. Now Satan wants us to not really understand the power of the
believer. We are very powerful, in Christ Jesus. It wouldn't do for us to be the only people
running around not getting sick and being able to heal the sick especially of dread
diseases. So, Satan snared us with his false churches.

In these churches everyone gets sick. Dramatic healings are even more absent. The dead
aren't being raised, limbs aren't appearing, the blind aren't seeing, the deaf aren't hearing,
the severely crippled aren't being made whole, etc. People will say they got healed of
things but the real attention grabbing, it just simple had to be God beyond a shadow of a
doubt, healings aren't taking place in these false churches. This tends to erode the faith of
the believer. He or she starts to think the scriptures aren't true, or God isn't working, etc.
Satan wants this. It discredits the church and the Gospel. The Apostles would mostly rely
on healing and demon casting to get the attention of the people. Right. These are the
things that the false churches suppress as best they can. You will see the difference
between those who serve God and those who don't when you meet God all the way.

2Cor.6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord,
and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you,
and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
If we obey God, God will receive us as his children. "Receive" is Strongs word #1523
and has a meaning of being treated with favor or being received kindly. Meditate on this
scripture.

2Tim.2:4 "No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he
may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

This is a scripture that should remind you not to get involved with worldly affairs. The
Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights will not keep you out
of the Lake of Fire, this only the Word of God can do. Don't be deceived in this area. Pray
for leaders who serve the true God. Pray that all false believers would be removed from
their offices all over the world. Pray all false believers would be removed from places of
business leadership and control. Pray for the false churches to come to an end. Use your
power of prayer. Get by yourself in a prayer closet type setting and pray for things like
this every day. I would also like to suggest that you pray for the Hebrews to come to the
faith and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for God to raise up true congregations and fill
all the ministry offices. Pray for God to turn the world rightside up.

Focus on getting yourself and your congregations operating according to true Bible
doctrine. 2Cor.10:3 - 6 " For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the
flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to
the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when
your obedience is fulfilled." Don't overlook the ending part about not revenging
disobedience until your obedience is fulfilled. Think on this for a while.

Mat. 11:28 - 30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and
ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

So, who's yoke do you want, the Lord Jesus yoke or that of the devil working through the
ungodly?

Let's deal with marriage briefly. I am afraid that we will find that some of you are married
to false believers. Let me be more specific. You are married to a spouse that is a wicked
servant of Satan, and has impersonated being a believer and you married them. You
probably met them in and or through a false church. First thing you people will have to
do is start taking inventory of the people in your lives to determine who goes and who
stays, but spouses don't go just because they're false believers. Friends, neighbors, people
in your business life, these can go if need be. Go into prayer about the people in your
lives. The decision making process is very easy when it comes to those outside your
family. If a person lied to you about serving Jesus as Lord, and is a full blown satanist
this is not grounds for divorce. Lying and idolatry are the offenses and they do not justify
divorce. Let's cover the scriptures on this matter.
1Cor.7:10 - 16 " And unto the married I command, yet not I but the Lord, Let not the
wife depart from her husband: but and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be
reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest
speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to
dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that
believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the
unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by
the husband: else were your children unclean; but now they are holy. But if the
unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases:
but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save
thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?"

Pleased to dwell with means consents, or thinks well of, or agrees to dwell with. At the
beginning of this passage it says" but if she depart" I believe this might be better
translated "but if she be separated", or "may have been separated" In the Greek this word
is a verb (Strong's #5563) in the aorist subjunctive, if you're interested. It means to place
room between or go away. The passage isn't saying don't depart from your husband, but if
you do it anyway remain unmarried or else get reconciled. This would be self
contradicting and confusing. It's saying don't do it, clearly in the previous phrase and the
reasons are given, but if the separation already happened, then the person should stay
unmarried or get reconciled.

Scripture doesn't contradict itself. The false churches have to some extent been teaching
people that separation is an option, if you aren't getting along with your spouse. If the
unbelieving spouse is pleased to dwell with, or consents to dwell with you, let them stay.
The unbeliever is sanctified for the sake of the believer. If the unbeliever spouse tells the
believing spouse I'm going to go, as in I'm going to go away and get my own house, this
sort of thing, then Paul says to let them depart and the bondage ends. If the spouse says I
need to go see so and so for a few days and clear my head and think, etc. this is not
separating. The departure is for a reasonable amount of time and there is no mention of
separate lives or moving in with someone or getting their own residence. The actual due
process of the civil court system of the land the people live in at the time is not the key
point here. People have different legal systems all over the world. In many parts of
America divorces filed in civil courts are not final for six months and I suppose longer
elsewhere. One could get married in a country that doesn't recognize the divorce granted
by another country, so the civil court in one jurisdiction will still say you're married even
though you live in another country and are divorced.

One could live in a part of the world or during a time when there was no formalized civil
law to deal with the matter of marriage and divorce. By this I mean there were no papers
issued or filed. The Bible sets forth the guidelines to follow in this matter. If we try to
follow civil laws we could easily get confused due to the differences from country to
country, and from time to time. So, when the unbelieving spouse says I'm leaving, let
them go and the bondage is over, but I would also urge you to pay attention to any civil
laws in the land you're living in as well. The reason for this is God hath called us to
peace. The local Pastors will be dealing with this more exactly regarding dealing with
courts, financial arrangements, children, emergency housing, support, etc. Fornication is
grounds for divorce.

Math.5:32 " But I say unto you, That whosoever put away his wife, saving for the
cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that
is divorced committeth adultery."

1Jn.3:24 "And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him."
1Jn.3:6 " Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him,
neither known him."

Col.3:5 "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is
idolatry."

Why is covetousness tied to idolatry. People that worship demons know they aren't really
God. They sell out to the demons, worshipping them instead of God, eternally ruining
themselves, for the promise of materialism which a lot of them never even get. I have
known satanists false believers and others to be broke. The unbeliever will like the things
of this world. What people think is very, very important. Also singles should watch
themselves during any courtship activities. The false church is quite lenient when it
comes to this but the true Gospel isn't. You can readily accomplish sin in the company of
a member of the opposite sex without sexual intercourse and with your clothes on. Again
the local pastors that will be raised up will deal with this problem, but the concept of
chaperones and group activities comes up as a solution. Two people can sit across a large
room from everyone else and talk quietly and privately, yet the visual contact with others
will have a tendency to keep things under control.

Eph.6:11 - 18 " Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints"

It says praying always in the spirit. The passage also exhorts us to stand. Make sure you
know your Bible or else get busy. If you get stuck go to prayer, get counsel, read the word

1Jn.4: 4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he
that is in you, than he that is in the world."
We overcome them according to the real Gospel.

Acts 16:31 " And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
and thy house."

Acts 11:13 - 14" And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood
and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Who
shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved."

These are promises to save your family, your house is of course your family not your real
estate.

1Cor.16:13 " Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." See we are
supposed to be stronger than men, we're children of the living God.

1Cor.10:13 " There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will
with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

The word for a way of escape Strong's #1545 means also an end or an exit.
