The Green Beret

The Green Beret is Americas most elite soldier. They are also the worlds most elite soldier. Their roll in war is to go behind enemy lines, encounter the countries rebellious groups and turn those groups into razor sharp weapons. On a scale of 1-20 (out of all the elite fighting forces in America) Rangers would be a 1, Delta Force a 4, and Navy SEALs would be a 11, Green Berets would be a 19. It is mainly statistics that put them in those placements. On average 1-3 will make it into Rangers, 1-4 will make it into Delta Force, 1-5 will make it into Navy SEALs, but only 3-100 will be able to make it into Green Berets and these are the toughest men in the US military not just average soldiers off of some random base. The training that they go through takes about two and a half years to complete. The first training faze they go through was called Two Weeks of Hell, it is currently called Three Weeks of Hell (because they decided to make the training faze longer). In this faze alone about 50% of the men will drop out. This course is designed to teach leadership, and physical conditions. (These men are in the top physical condition of their lives and this training has them vomiting within two hours.) During the course the men only receive three MREs (Meal Ready to Eat) a day. These meals contain on average about 1250 kilocalories, and men are still calorie deprived and sleep deprived by the end of the training faze. They also go through fazes to become Airborne, SUT (Small Unit Tactics), classes that teach survival skills. One of the hardest courses that they have to pass is called SEAR school in which they are released into the woods of Fort Brag, North Carolina. They are then told to travel across Fort Brag with nothing but some Para cord, a knife and the lint in their pockets (they practically dont get anything but those two items). But the catch is, is that they are hunted down with dogs and professionals that do this for a living. Once they are found (its not a matter of, if they are found its a matter of, when they are found because they will be found) they and interrogated. In the interrogation faze the trainers will make it seem as real as

an actual interrogation. The men are beaten, tortured and the trainers can break one bone in their body. (Typically this is a nose from being punched and or it is a finger.) (I have yet to learn everything about this particular faze because the man telling me about it can go to Jail if he tells me certain things because they are under oath that they cant tell.) The reason that they are the Americas most elite warrior is because There are fewer of them than any other soldiers in the world. Out of all the training combined, typically only 3 out of 100 men can make Green Beret. There are usually more than 250 men that try to make it in. Out of the men that do make selection, those men are the most elite soldiers from their recent MOS, whether it is physically or educationally. I have talked to two different Green Berets, and one of them told me that when he went through selection there were 5 Navy SEALs, not one of them even made it past Three Weeks of Hell. That shows how physically demanding it is to even make it past the first three weeks. Unlike in Marines, ARMY, Air Force, and National Guard. They have to be asked to do Special Forces Green Beret. Why they are the worlds most elite soldier? A single Green Beret would willingly take on 200 men and have a extremely high chance of winning. Most countries dont even have the funding to create a soldier as sophisticated as the Green Beret. They are trained in every type of combat situation while most countries train there military groups in 1-3 different fighting tactics. They work in twelve man teams, and each man it trained in something different, whether it is being a weapons specialist, medic, sniper, demo expert, constructionist, communications expert, or a pilot. After they are trained in their desired field they go to a team, and teach the other guys all that they can so that everyone in the team can practically do the same. For example if I were a medic I would go into a twelve man team and teach my teammates how to react and then treat a gunshot wound or a broken bone, etc.

They also are they only group in the world that goes into hostile territory and teach the local people how to be leader and fighters so that they can fight for themselves, and lead their own country, so that the united states doesnt have to risk the lives of many of our soldiers to help out a different country. The reason that it takes about two and a half years to complete Green Beret training is because of how it is done. The way that it is done is you go to Fort Brag, North Carolina for two weeks to a month and do that particular training. Then you go back to the fort that you are stationed at for about two to three weeks. Then you go back to Fort Brag, North Carolina. And repeat the process for a total of two and a half years.
