Psychological Report

The mask makers name is Shiela Marie D. Manjares, female, 19 years of age and a graduating BS Psychology student at Bulacan State University. She is currently residing at Malolos City, Bulacan and presently living with her two brothers. Also, she is the oldest child in their family and the one who take charge of looking after and taking care of her both younger siblings. She recently undergone mask-making activity, which will be interpreted using psychological meaning govern by her preferred color as well as projective evaluation of her created mask. Assessing the mask, it has four prevailing colors, namely: blue, rosy red, orange and yellowish white (note: in the picture the white portion seems solely white, however, the actual mask show yellowish white color). All of these preferred colors of the mask maker possess certain meanings behind. Beginning with the most dominant color which is blue, this may be interpreted as her having some tendency to be sensitive and easily get hurt. Additionally, it may also show some feelings of contentment and peace as well as possible indication of tenderness and affection. Consistent with the preceding sentence, her next emphasized color is rosy red wherein pinkish or rosy color may be characterized as her having tendency to be affectionate, emotional and loving. On the other hand, color red may mean character such as being authoritative, competitive, and passionate about the idea of life. Combining the two, it may mean that she may be someone who is strong, powerful and may have a leader character yet it may possibly be accompanied by some soft touch such as being authoritative for the reason driven by affection towards the people she rule. Coupled this projective evaluation with interview, it has been learned

that she stand as the head in their house since both of her parents are not present to guide them. Such personal situation may explain why she shows tendency to be authoritative however compensated by being loving and affectionate. Furthermore, these two colors mentioned above are placed at the head part of the mask which may symbolizes her present thought process. In addition, she also used yellowish white color which is psychologically characterized as a positive color. Particularly, white color may be link with innocence, righteousness and goodness of personality. Meanwhile yellow color implies bright and cheerful disposition in life. In line with this, the next color she preferred to paint is orange which may show fun warm and energetic personality. In view of the aforementioned, the enumerated characters fail to accentuate any alarming or problematic character on the side of the mask-maker.
