SEAD MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Associate Member ( 2 points required ) Must be a licensed CE (must be PICE member); if employed as structural engineer / designer, 2 years continuous structural design experience ( 2 points ); for private practitioner, he must have at least 4 years teaching experience of structural design subject ( 2 points ); for those with masters degree or with masteral units, he must have earned at least 12 units structural engineering subjects ( 2 points ); in any of the above, he must have at least 2 references (should be SEAD members) who are familiar with his qualification ( 2 points ); additional documents as SEAD may require

2. Regular Member ( 5 points required ) Must be a licensed CE (must be PICE member); ASEP members ( 5 points ); if employed, at least 5 years structural design experience (5 points ); for private practitioner, at least 40 projects design (5 points ); 9 CPE units structural engineering topics from seminars ( 2 points ); 3 years as associated member of SEAD (4points); at least 3 references (SEAD members)
