1. Sort words and explain categories. 2. Blind sort- An adult will lay down one word from each category. Read the words one by one to your child without showing them the word. Have them tell you which column to put it in. 3. Word Hunt- Help your child hunt for words in a book that follow their pattern for the week. Try to find 3 words to add to each category. 4. Writing Sort- Call your words in random order and have your child write them.
