RESEARCH PROJECT ACCEPTED
A Concept Proposal has been accepted by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on the project entitled Design and Development of Chemical Compounds Database based on traditionally used Medicinal Plants Curated for Drug Designing of tentative budget of Rs 15 lacs but may be extended upto 22 lacs. The project will be of 3 year duration with two JRF positions.

Open Source Library Development for Medical Science Medi Java API Development of Open Source Java Library for Medical Science, for faster and efficient software development process in the field of Medical Science. The inception phase considered four specialities i.e Cardiology, Pulmonology, Anesthesia and Surgery. The first paper has been accepted in NCMI 2012 at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS Delhi), but not presented there instead published in an International journal. On the same theme an elaborate study on Anesthesia has been conducted later and has been published through an IEEE Conference at IIT Kharagpur . In this area 4 M.Sc Thesis has been guided in joint Collaboration with Dr. K Narain, Dy. Director,RMRC-Indian Council of Medical Research

Inception of Ayurinformatics as an Interdisciplinary Subject To define the scope, permimeter and paradigm of Ayurinformatics as a new inter disciplinary subject of National Interest. Produced 2(Two) M.Sc Bioinformatics Thesis, 1(One) MD Thesis, Presented One paper at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The project is in Inception Phase in joint collaboration of CDAC Pune, Govt Ayurveda College and me. In which I envisaged an Centre of Excellence to be established which will be the central hub for the subject Ayurinformatics. In this initiative Two M.Sc Thesis on this area , One MD Thesis has been produced. One Research Project Proposal has been accepted by Indian Council of Medical Research and in the process of sending final proposal. Immediately after that pilot project an Ayurinformatics Research Laboratory proposal will be sent to various funding agencies.

G2PU Accelerated High Performance Computing Applications To harness the capability of GPU in Bioinformatics Applications. One M.Tech thesis going on in this area.

Computer Aided Drug Designing To explore the ligands from natural sources as the remedy for various diseases using Computer Aided Drug Design Techniques. Produced two international publications in this domain.

TEACHING ACHIEVEMENTS
10 Years of My Teaching Experience has given me deeper insight of student s psychology, during this time I did many experiments on students learning process, some actions were taken and some results were obtained. Experience: Tackling Psychological problems in Student Case: During my teaching career in Delhi Public School, I found a boy with ADHD Problem, he used to be restless in computer laboratory, breaking computer peripherals. His problem was Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I started to give highest possible attention and told him if he does a particular problem, I will give him a gift and I always used to carry few gifts with me. I gave him gifts for solving easiest problems initially, which made him more focused and more attentive. Slowly I started giving him complicated problems to solve and he solved all given problems. I made him lab monitor. So the boy who used to break keyboard and mouse was now looking after all other students programming problems, after solving his own. I was appreciated by the head mistress of DPS, Guwahati and I was made class teacher of the same class in the next academic session. Experience : Motivation to Poor Performer and Slow Learner Case: Mr. Chironton Gogoi a student of M.Sc Bioinformatics course failed in all subjects of consecutive two semesters. I counseled him in the Laboratory of the department for an hour, he started to improved and cleared all theory papers of M.Sc Bioinformatics in due time. Now He is working as a Lecturer in a Junior college.
