16, 2013 Dear LDS Missionary Department, On behalf of the Bradshaw family and all the Rae of Light 5k Volunteers it is with great humility and joy that we forward this donaGon check to the General Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of LaLer-day Saints to honor a great life, Valerie Rae Bradshaw, who passed away in a boaGng accident in June 2013. We thank Heavenly Father, angels, and the tremendous generosity of others who have entered our lives and made this tribute a special occasion. Our donaGon reects the lives and the heart of everyone involved in this eort. Together, friends, family and members of our community have given of their Gme, their talents, their nances, and their hearts to help make this day a reality. We experienced many miracles along the planning stages of Vals 5K, and it quickly became evident that heaven was our largest sponsor and support. Many of these blessings, even miracles, have been recorded and will conGnue to be treasured for years to come. Like the gospel, Valerie was the good news and a ray of light to everyone she met! Her spirit was radiant, her disposiGon cheery. Her life was full of purpose and love for others. Valerie Rae Bradshaw was a living representaGve of the joy that comes from service, and a life centered on the gospel. It is for this reason we have chosen to honor Valeries life by helping to further something she stood for and was passionate about, missionary work! This opportunity and privilege to show our love for Valerie has strengthened each of our tesGmonies and has blessed our lives. We are all a liLle closer to heaven and closer to each other. Please accept our enclosed $21,750 donaGon as our gi_ of graGtude to God for sharing Valerie with us. We know we will see Valerie again and have been blessed with an unshaken faith and peace she was called home for a greater purpose. While her life on earth will be greatly missed, her example will remain strong in our hearts. It is our united hope and prayer that this expression of love may bless the lives of others and help them come to know the Savior, and learn of His peace and the happiness that comes from living a life centered on the Savior and the Gospel of Jesus Christ of LaLer-day Saints as did Valerie Rae Bradshaw.
