    Do you need to create schedules and task charts as supports for the students and/or adults with disabilities that you serve? This session will assist your exploration of the growing area of organizing, scheduling and task support products that can be used as assistive technology for individuals who need memory aids and/or schedulers in order to be more independent. No, light and high technology strategies and solutions will be demonstrated with software-based and hand-held tools. These types of products are being used with students and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, cognitive and learning disabilities, as well as an intervention for people who have sustained a head injury. We will explore product options as calendars, schedulers, task assistants, checklists, transition aids, behavior supports and information sharers. Issues in matching individual’s needs & abilities to features of products and implementation strategies will be addressed.
