Hokkaido Christian Mission April 26, 1961

The time that we have been awaiting has nearly arrived. This will be the last letter

that you will receive from us before we sail for Japan. I am sure you remember that we are to leave from San Francisco on June 7, onthe President Wilson. Please keep us in mind in your prayers and, also, remember us with your letters. Greetings to us as
we leave may be addressed as follows:

As you well know there is a lot of preparation when one gets ready to go to Jap^. In
order to receive our visa we had to have a letter of

organization in Japan, letter from a supporting church, letters of physical fitness, as well as the various shots. It was along the line of shots that we greatest concern. It seems the baby, Donald Joseph, is allergic to the Th^hoia-raraThyphoid shots, l-fhen he received his first one he had such a violent reaction that it was necessary to hosoitalize him for one day. He, also, had a reaction to the second shot but we were looking for it so stayed at the doctor's office for until

he recovered from it. Friday he will be receiving the last of these shots. This will be the last thing along this line that will have to be done. The visa is in hand as

Concerning the tickets we do wish to report that we were able to pay for them on

Since writing last Ernest has visited with churches in Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee,

Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Among places visited were the Georgia Missionary Rally and The North American Christian Convention. Ernest just returned Sunday from the fellowship with many friends at the North American where the Hokkaido
Christian Mission had a booth. In the meantime, Neva did some visiting in Nebraska including a visit to the Missionary Rally at Norfolk, Nebraska.

The closing weeks in America will be spent-as,follows: April 30, A.M., Stillwater and P.M., Cleveland, Oklahoma; May 2-5, Kaimichi clinic; May 7, A.M., Memphis, Texas and P.M., Yale, Oklahoma; May 14, P.M., Council Bluffs, Iowa; May 21, A.M. and afternoon homecoming and farewell at Minburn, Iowa; May 24, Bagley, Iowa; May 28 A.M., Glenrock, Wyoming and P.M., Riverton, Wyoming; May 31, Stockton, California; June 4, Pleasant
Hill, California.

Please remember us as we return to our field of service, VJe should be in Obihiro by the middle of July at the latest. We will writs you as soon as possible after we
arrive on the field.
