Mrs. .Svend Kspeland passed away M o n d a y a t 11 o ' c l o c k . Mrs. Espel a n d w a s b o r n in Sirdal, Norway, 1848. I n 1 8 7 2 s h e w a s u n i t e d in marriage to Mr. Svend Espeland. Their union was blessed wth nine c h i l d r e n , t h r e e of t h e s e d i e d a t a n early age. For several years a f t e r t h e i r m a r r i a g e Mr. and Mrs. Espel a n d r e s i d e d in S t a v a n g e r , N o r w a y . More than thirty years ago they emigrated to America, t a k i n g up t h e i r r e s i d e n c e in Benzie County w h e r e t h e y have since lived.
