Applications Developer

W&P Search and Select Consultant is a growing Executive Search firm in Indonesia. Experiencing in managing various recruitment for supervisor and managerial level in both local and MNCs, currently, it helps a client to seek a junior IT personnel to earn a new dynamic and international working environment within client's organization. The client is coming from a prominent legal firm that has an affiliation with international legal firm (originally in USA). In reaching a smooth development and synchronization of the system applications in its Indonesia office, it opens a vacancy for applications developer. The nature of work will be as follow: Reports to: Assistant Manager of Asia Pacific (AP) development team who based in Hong Kong office. Functional relationships: AP development team in the Global Services Manila (GSM) and Jakarta office. Internal clients: 1. Product Managers or Department Managers located in 11 offices within Asia Pacific region. 2. Local staffs of all affiliations offices who are using the AP regional applications/systems. Role and responsibilities: This roles provides technical programming, database development, testing, and documentation for application support issues and enhancements. He/she may perform detailed design or simple analysis tasks as needed. Below are more detail explanation of the responsibilities:

Performs development or modification of codes for the assigned tasks or projects. Performs unit testing and integration testing to ensure accuracy of the finished product for assigned tasks. Performs application support (bug fixes, system rollover assistance, small enhancement, generate ad-hoc reports, etc). Follows the standard systems development process, and uses the established coding and design standards, and standard tools as defined by the AP development team. Proactively perform self learning and research to find an optimum solution to the challenged issues during development. Reports the status of application support and development activities as requested by the Assistant Manager.

Analyzes and reviews design specifications or project requirements from business analyst (BA) or supervisor.

Person specification: This role requires someone with a proven experience and skills in the applications programming who has: A tertiary qualification from a reputable university Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree. At least one to two years of professional experience in web and windows/client application development using the following tools or languages: VBA, ASP.NET, C# and VB.NET SQL Server 2005/2008 or other SQL DBMS programming. Participated in at least one full development life cycle. Experience in three-tier architecture with SQL backend or service oriented architecture. Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Ms-SQL Reporting Services is a plus. Ability to work in a virtual team with overseas counterparts. A good understanding of system development methodology and object oriented design. Good English communication skills in both oral and written. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to meet project deadlines and work under pressure.
