Headmasters Corner
Thank you so much to the FOTM for such an enjoyable Quiz Night last Saturday, with particular thanks going to Mr & Mrs Patel, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Campbell. The evening was a resounding success and I strongly recommend that you place 25th January 2014 in your diary for Burns Night. Well done to all children and staff for last weeks Inter-House Rugby and Hockey Tournaments. All children tried their hardest with Churchill winning the Hockey and the Rugby being won on the final game by Alexander. Parents of children in Lower School are informed that during periods of very cold weather boys may wear long trousers. This takes effect from November through to March. Long grey trousers should be worn so that they are in keeping with the Upper School uniform. Well done to all of our teams who won on Wednesday: Played four, won four! Congratulations to Miss Hale who has been appointed to the position of First Aid Co-ordinator for the school. We look forward to welcoming you to Parents Evening on Sunday and Monday evening.

Logan Fitzpatrick in Year 2 has lost one of his school shoes (right shoe) and despite an exhaustive search of the school it has not been found. We would be grateful if all the younger boys could check their bags to make sure they havent taken the wrong shoe home by mistake.

Milkshake Monday Morning Milkshake Monday Morning (Mmm) went very well this week with Year 2 as they braved the Halloween decorations, spiders and cobwebs in the library for their first Milkshake Morning. They enjoyed strawberry and banana milkshakes, made by the ladies in the kitchen, as well as apple slices. They listened to the story of Angelino by Quentin Blake and then had a good browse around the library, dipping into books and listening to stories told by staff members and the Lovely Library Ladies. It will be a long time before their next Milkshake Monday Morning, so why not take advantage of the times when the library is opened for parents and children to browse and borrow books? The next one is 22nd October between 3.15 and 3.45 pm if you would like to come along.
