2013 Catholic Services Appeal - Bringing Christ to Others: Our Parish Target is $8000, and $2075 has already been donated. We thank those of you who have responded and invite all households in our parish family to support the ministries of our Archdiocese. These are pastoral, educational, and charitable ministries that reach thousands of individuals and families as well as every parish and school in our Archdiocese. Gifts to the 2013 Catholic Services Appeal can be made online at www.archlou.org/CSA, or by using the envelopes in the pews or the back of church. Sacrament Celebrated: Many blessings to Sophia Grace Jump, daughter of Sarah and Justin Jump, who was baptized by Deacon Adam Carrico on Sunday, October 20, 2013. She is the granddaughter of Connie and Dennis Eisenback. Your Opinion is Important! Please Take a Survey for Deacon Adam's Homily: In seminary we often talk about the importance of the homily in the lives of the faithful. We also talk a lot about what makes a homily bad or ineffective and we know that the people who listen to us have an opinion because they want, you want and you deserve, to hear good preaching! To help me be a better preacher, Saint Meinrad Seminary requires me to get feedback on the homilies that I give at my ministry parishes. You can give this feedback in several different ways. Visit http://harvesterswanted.blogspot.com/ read the homily if you like, and access a link to take a survey online; access the survey directly by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/October_Homily_Evaluation; or if you prefer, you can fill out a paper survey after Mass. Contact me at abcarrico@gmail.com if you have any questions. The more responses I receive the better picture I have for how I'm communicating to you. I want to be a better preacher and you can help to make that happen. Peace to you all and thank you for participating! Deacon Adam Carrico RCIA: If you, or someone you know, have an interest in joining the Catholic Church, contact Marilena Wertz at 4778534 or mlwertz@wertz.us. Please pray for those on the journey and on the team, as well as those who are inquiring. Why Catholic? groups are in week four of six sessions. Contact Deacon Carl, carlfahringer@bellsouth.net, for more information on this program or other adult faith formation opportunities. Liturgical Ministries: Connie Eisenback is recruiting volunteers to assist with decorating the Church for the upcoming seasons of Advent and Christmas please contact her at 502-821-2887.
