Bro. Fish added: "What a marvelous opportunity! AChristian school teacher, although
his first and foremost responsiblity will be to teach in the Joint Embassy School, will
still have free time when he can engage in missionary activity. Just being in the school with children of several nations as a Christian witness is an opportunity to be a missionary
within the school. Such a one may also be of help to the missionaries already serving in
Indonesia as well as paving the way for new missionaries to come. "

Greetings
where you live. Although the thousands of miles separate us from you dear friends in the homeland we have felt your nearness through let ters, prayers and gifts. indeed, your every expression of Christian love and concern is accepted with sincere gratitude. News of your willingness to support the Fish family in 1971 ' fills us v/ith prayers of thanksgiving. How we need this steadfast backing our Heavenly Father has fully known and has provided i t again and again through His loving children. Not a day passes but what grateful prayers are of fered for our faithful supporters. God has enabled us to adjust to two different cultures since we depar ted from Los Angelos on January 15, 1970. . .Singapore and Indonesia. The former predominantly Chinese and the latter a mixture of MalayPolynesia-Javanese. Although we did not undertake to learn the Chi nese language, we are studying the Indonesian tongue. Then, there is the local dialect where we live in West Java, called Sundanese. Phil lip comes home and stumps us with a Sundanese word now and then. Once we learn Indonesian we might tackle Sundanese because this group is yet unreached for the most part with the Gospel of Christ. There is absolutely NOTHING of any significance in written form aimed at winnigh the Sundanese people to the Lord Jesus Christ. Doors of opportunity are opening. Carl teaches two classes in Bandung in English to a mixture of Chinese and Indonesian young people, about 60 people in all. Then, he has been invited by an independent Bible college with a strong Pentecostal flavor to teach 11 1/2 hours per month. This college is about 2 1/2 hours via car farther east into Java from Bandung. Carl teaches the New Testament books of Mark and Timothy this semester. He has had other invitations to teach here in Bandung, but has had to turn them down due to lack of time for his own study of the language and work on the printing part of his ministry.
