pets or pet objects (cages or leashes, for example), handling objects used by children, removing gloves used for any sanitary purpose, using a telephone, or caring for or touching a child who is ill. ANYTIME they go to another room in the school or child care center or move to a different group of children. ANYTIME hands look, feel, or smell unclean. What is the best way to wash hands? Use warm, but not hot, running water. Avoid shortcuts. Use soap. Soap is recommended for hand washing in child care settings. Remember to clean under nails. Wash for at least 15 seconds. (This is about how long it takes to sing the alphabet song.) Rinse well. Dry your hands with a fresh paper towel or an automatic dryer. Then use the towel to turn off the faucet. Note: Do not use automatic dryers for infants and toddlers. Closely supervise other children under 6 years of age who use these dryers.

Slow Down!
Now that I have your attention. Parents, we need you to take every precaution while driving when dropping off and picking up your children. Please reduce your speed as you approach the Center, and be alert for children entering and exiting vehicles; drive responsibly. We want our children and families to be safe. Also, please be aware of where you are parking; park responsibly. Thank you so much for your cooperation in advance!
Did you know that consistency with your childs attendance is key to his/ her education? According to an article published at www.newamerica. net, One of the biggest myths affecting the education of young children is the mistaken belief that kindergarten or preschool is just an add-on that it doesnt really matter that much if children skip a bunch of days or arrives perpetually late. But, poor attendance and tardiness are real issues even for young children and can hamper their ability to learn. We ask that your children please be at school by 9 a.m., at the latest. Participating in all of the educational components of the day will help your child reap long-term benefits. If your child is going to be absent or late, please call to let us know. We appreciate your cooperation!
H.O.P.E Productions
Reginald and Angela Baldwin founded HOPE Productions in Feb. 2008. The acronym H.O.P.E stands for - Helping Other People Excel, which is exactly what they do. Their mission is to enrich the lives of its community through affordable, inspirational live theater, theater productions, theater education and music productions. HOPE Productions aims to provide creative outlets and structure for faith community members to cultivate and express their performing arts gifts, and in doing so, acts as a catalyst for community engagement, inspiration and change. On Sept. 21, H.O.P.E. held a sneak peek event for their next play, and they chose to highlight the work that One Hope United does in Protecting Children. Strengthening Families. The play, God I Got Issues, will be performed on Nov. 9 & 10. You can find out more about H.O.P.E Productions at hopeproductionsonline.com. We want to thank H.O.P.E. Productions for donating a portion of their proceeds to help One Hope United programs and for giving back to the community!
