CONCLUSION
Conclusion
Engine JE-34-WE-36 has been disassembled, inspected and assembled in 4-5 hours in 3 session around two days. The process involve students with the help of maintenance manual. The practical considered success when the all the part has been put to their original place and the engine can function normally. The rotation of the shaft which rotate the turbine and compressor need to ensure it rotate smoothly. On the disassembled, the compressor housing need to be remove carefully to avoid it touch the blade. We found that team work is needed to remove the housing and the gear box. On the gear box section, it need to be remove first since it connected with the shaft. For removing the housing, we require special tool which is jack screw. On the inspection, we have found a many defect in the turbine engine either on the blade or the housing itself. The example of defect that we found are burning, pitting corrosion, scratch ,dented on the blade and crack on many surface. All the solution for the problems need to be refer to maintenance manual. The last part which is assembly is harder than other part. All the part need to be put precisely on it places either the screw hole, or the housing itself. If it not precise, we will face a problem on housing assembly which we already face it two times. We also caught into some problem such as a worn of nut and bolt which need a replacement on it. We cannot do the repair cause lack of tool and spare part. Due to that, the engine is unserviceable and can only be use for practical purposes.
