GETTING INTO THE APP

On entering the app, the user encounters three options namely: 1.Agriculture 2.Education 3.Healthcare All the above options have been created to make the rural people aware of their rights and resources.

Yield Statistics :
This option provides the user with the ability to view the estimated yield of the crop.The estimation is based on a probabilistic model which takes into accounts the past trends as well as the correlation among various factors affecting the yield. Step 1-Choose the Area and Crop from the drop- down menu.. Step 2-Click on Estimate.

Explanation of the Output:

The left panel shows the estimated value of the yield for the chosen Crop and Area. The right panel is a graphical representation of the trend since 2000.

Reliable and well timed forecasts are of vital importance for appropriate ,foresighted ,and up-to-date planning especially for agriculture which is full of uncertainties.Pests and diseases are the two key aspects which

necessitate forethought. Step 1-Choose the Area and the Crop. Step 2-Click on Estimate.

Explanation of the Output:

A Message Box prompts on clicking Estimate that returns the probability of the chosen crop being chosen by the user which is based on a Logistic Regression Model.

Profit Estimation :
This option allows the user to estimate his net profit. The farmer is required to fill in a certain fields in order to view the output profit. Under the initial investment cost, the farmer can either go for a bank loan or his own savings. NOTE: The estimation is a rough estimate and it may differ from the actual profit.

EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE

The EDUCATION option aims at broadening the education constraints in rural India. We have linked Google Maps within this app. Any person using this app can scout for the nearest schools in that area(both private and government) bringing education at their doorsteps . This option aims at revolutionizing the ways in which rural people perceive education. With easy access to all schools in their areas , they can easily plan their childrens education and pave way for a better and educated India.

The HEALTHCARE option also puts all the hospitals and medical centres in a given area under one lens. It brings together all the healthcare units in an entered area through GOOGLE MAPS. This can prove to be a very handy tool in case of an emergency.

WATER QUALITY
Water is the most important resource and therefore maintaining the quality of water is of utmost importance.This ection of the App gives an estimate of the quality of water of major rivers in India on the basis of the quantities of Dissolved Oxygen,Biological Oxygen demand,pH,Nitrates and Coliform in the river water. Step 1-Select the river from the list. Step 2-click on Estimate. Explanation of the Output: On clicking Estimate, a window prompts up with the description of the river selected, trends in the river water quality based on Graphs and Plots and Data pertaining to the Chemical Composition of the river water.
