General Specifications
The Research Paper should be formatted with the following specifications: Paper size: 8.5 x 11" Margins: Left and Bottom: 1.25"; Top and Right: 1.0" Page Numbers: In page footer, 1" from bottom and right of page (lower right-hand corner). Line Spacing and Indentation: Double line-space without additional line-spaces before and after each paragraph, chapter title, section, and subsection. Paragraph bodies should have a 0.5" first-line indentation. Must have at least five (5) items Should be bulleted If all the list items fit nicely on single lines, use single line-space for the list, with no additional line-spaces between list items If a list item takes up two or more lines, use single line-space for the list, but add a blank line-space between list items

Abstract

Why was the project done? What is the purpose? What is the real-life problem and how is it solved by your project? How was the project done? What is the methodology? What conclusion can be drawn? What objectives were addressed by your project? What is the significance of your project?

Abstract proper:

This (as with any section of your paper) must reflect the true state of your project. If there are no results, state that you have none (or whatever state the project is in). Do not bluff your conclusion if you have no data.

Table of Contents

Consider learning how to use Styles and Tables of Contents in Microsoft Word. If you refuse to (or simply can't), aim to make it look similar to the finished product (see Attachments below). Microsoft Word doesn't agree with the Research Unit's format for these two, so it has to be done manually. "Titles" are the labels used in the paper for the referred table or figure
