With The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting that 70 percent of Medicare members suffer from at least one chronic condition, annual wellness visits are an important tool in ensuring lifelong well-being and catching serious illnesses early on. The SI Situation Doctors today estimate that up to 25 percent of all low back pain actually originates in the sacroiliac (SI) joint, which is located in the pelvis just behind the hip. The SI joint bears and transfers weight and movement from your upper body to your legs, and over the years it can become arthritic and the ligaments can wear out. (NAPSA)A new study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that the Mediterranean diet, rich in vegetables, fish and olive oil and moderate in wine, is associated with slower rates of cognitive decline in older adults. If you want to help your brain by adding fish to your diet, the following recipe by Dian and Tom Griesel works well with salmon, swordfish, tuna, tilapia or any other firm fish. In their book TurboCharged, to be published in March, the Griesels recommend several kinds of meal ratios to burn fat rapidly. One option is to strike a balance in protein to healthy carbohydrates for rapid fat loss. This recipe provides a nice low-calorie meal for delivering 30 grams of protein along with only 8 grams of very healthy carbohydrates in the form of tasty veggies. Mediterranean Swordfish: 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1 tablespoon of water 8 large cloves of garlic, minced 4 5-ounce boneless swordfish steaks or fish steak of choice cup red onion wedges teaspoon fennel seeds 1 cups canned whole Italian tomatoes (no salt added), chopped 610 Greek olives, pitted and thinly sliced 2 tablespoons of slivered fresh basil leaves In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of oil and half of the garlic; rub over each side of each swordfish steak. Refrigerate in a covered container for 1 hour. Preheat broiler. Line pan with foil for easy cleanup. In a large nonstick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of water; add onion, fennel seeds and remaining

Consumers need to be choosy when purchasing new tires and replace them with the manufacturer s specified tires for their vehicle, because when it comes to tires, one size does not fit all, said Dave Cowger, engineering group manager of the Tire-Wheel Systems Lab at General Motors. GMs Tire-Wheel Systems Laboratory puts North Americandesigned tire-wheel assemblies through stringent tests to ensure they meet or exceed internal, federal and Society of Automotive Engineers criteria. GMs tire and wheel engineers d e v e l o p e x c l u s i v e Ti r e P e r f o r mance Criteria (TPC) specifications for each vehicle engineered in North America. This helps ensure tire performance, handling and durability under a variety of driving conditions. Major tire manufacturer engineers work together with GMs tire and wheel engineers during the validation process. Only those select tires approved through GMs TPC process are stamped with a TPC spec number, so customers can go to a dealership or a national tire brand retail store and order a new tire specifically engineered to go with a GM-specific vehicle. How To Tell If You Need New Tires Tire wear depends on several factors, including driving style and tire maintenance habits. One way to know when to replace tires is when tread-wear indicators appear. A tires built-in tread-wear indicators are wear bars that look like narrow strips of smooth rubber across the tread and appear when its time to replace the tire. A new tire is needed if: The indicators at three or more places around the tire are visible. Cord or fabric is showing through the tires rubber. The tread or sidewall is cracked, cut or snagged deep enough to show cord or fabric. The tire has a bulge or split. The tire has a puncture, cut o r o t h e r d a m a g e t h a t c a n t b e repaired well because of the size or location of the damage. Buying New Tires To determine what kind and size of tire are needed, check the vehicle label. For GM vehicles engineered in North America, the tires installed on each new vehicle have a Tire Performance Criteria Specification (TPC Spec) number on each tires sidewall. When purchasing new tires, get ones with that same TPC Spec number to ensure the vehicle continues to have tires designed to give proper endurance, handling, speed rating, traction, ride and performance during normal service on the vehicle. If the tires have an all-season tread design, the TPC number will be followed by an M+S (for mud and snow). Basic Tire Maintenance Tips A few simple tire maintenance steps can help identify and address problems before needing replacement: Check for uneven wear or excessive tread wear. Make sure all tires, including the spare, are properly inflated. Inflate tires to recommended pressure. Underinflated tires can reduce fuel economy by up to 3.3 percent, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Properly rotate tires at recommended intervals. Properly align and balance wheels.

Rosemary-Lime Salmon Kebabs (Serves 4) pound farmed or wild salmon fillets (fresh or thawed frozen), cut into chunks zucchini, cut into chunks yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks large red onion, cut into chunks Sea salt and black pepper garlic cloves, finely chopped tablespoon (about 2 small sprigs) chopped rosemary leaves cup extra-virgin olive oil tablespoons lime juice Wooden or bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 10 minutes
Place salmon, zucchini, bell pepper and onion in a shallow baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepp e r. W h i s k t o g e t h e r g a r l i c , rosemary, olive oil and lime juice in a small bowl. Pour mixture over salmon and vegetables, toss and marinate 15 to 30 minutes. Preheat the grill or broiler. Skewer the salmon and vegetables, reserving marinade, and grill or broil 5 to 7 minutes, turning once, until salmon is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
