Becky Van Pool, Director of Parish Outreach & Program Development, Catholic Charities, Oklahoma City, shares how her office and the local diocesan office of Schools, Religious Education, and Youth Ministry collaborated to establish the Cabrini Ministry. The ministry trains adult "gatekeepers" to recognize a crisis in another's life which may lead to suicide. Gatekeepers include parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, ministers, nurses, receptionists, case managers, youth ministers and others. National Partners The USCCB Office of Justice, Peace, and Human Development will host the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering, Feb. 2-5, 2014, in Washington, D.C.
