Consult with your Lab Instructor for a detailed schedule of Laboratories, Laboratory Examinations and the conditions regarding Attendance of Laboratories, or for any other Lab related issues.

Laboratory Attendance, Assignments and Regulations

1. Under exceptional circumstances, if a student is unable to do a laboratory assignment in its scheduled time, arrangements must be made with the laboratory instructor to complete it during one of the other scheduled laboratory sections for that particular assignment. 2. A request to make up a laboratory assignment after all the regularly scheduled sections for that particular assignment have passed, must be accompanied by an original medical certificate or a letter from the Dean of the students faculty. 3. Failure to complete two or more laboratory assignments will result in a grade of NP for the Geology 102 final overall grade. 4. Submitting a laboratory assignment that is not your own work is cheating. Any student found cheating during a Laboratory session or during the Mid-term exam will receive a mark of zero for that activity. A memo will also be placed on the student's file. 5. Any student found cheating during the Final exam will receive a grade of zero for the course. A memo will also be placed on the student's file. Please refer to page 29 of the current University Calendar for definitions on cheating. 6. Students must pass both laboratory component AND lecture component in order to pass Geology 102. A failure in either the laboratory component or the lecture component will result in a Grade of 45% for the course. Special Needs: any students requiring special accommodation should discuss these with the course instructor as soon as possible after contacting the Coordinator of the Disability Resource Office RC 251.15, 585-4631
