The best person to talk to about the symptom is the customer, often times the details of a problem can get lost in translation and bl l l d are not listed on the work order. Assuming g the Main board is the defect because it controls everything is a big mistake After the repair go through the entire diagnostic test processes, not just the function that was not working previously previously.
An extra five minutes spent testing ALL functions might save a second call Simple things like connectors, plugs and harnesses create more failures than PC boards.

Dont overlook the environment as a possible ibl issue i

Any electronic product requires proper connection to the hot, neutral and ground leads Also check the water pressure

A simple AC polarity tester can identify a mis-wired outlet or similar issue Low water pressure can effect ice production or wash time A water pressure meter can help here

In order to assure there is a known amount of f clean hot water in the tub the first thing a dishwasher will do when starting a wash cycle is to run the drain pump to clear out any water. Normally, the pump will run for about forty-five seconds or until the Low Level sensor confirms there is no water in the tub and that the drain is unobstructed. If the low water level is not detected within about three minutes time the unit will flag a 5E or SE drain error. Confirm the drain pump and hose are not obstructed Confirm the drain pump is getting power by measuring between CN202:5(ORG) and CN101:3(YEL). Confirm the drain pump connection and continuity by lifting CN202 and measuring the resistance of the drain pump, (22). If the circuit reads open pull the unit to confirm the connections and check the wire harness continuity. Confirm the operation of the water level sensor.

When the water valve is activated the flow f sensor is monitored to confirm that water is flowing. If there are no pulses from the flow sensor or the low level sensor is not activated after a period of time, the unit will flag a 4E water supply error. The water will continue to flow until the High Sensor is activated, activated Flow High indicating the water has reached the Meter Level correct level before the wash cycle will Sensor begin. Confirm the water supply pp y is turned on
Confirm there are no obstructions in the water supply line or any particles on the filter screen inside the water connection on the unit Confirm the water pressure. The unit allows up to six minutes to complete the fill process before flagging this error. C fi h water valve l i i Confirm the is getting power b by measuring between CN202:1(BRN) and CN101:3(YEL). Confirm the water valve connection and continuity by lifting CN202 and measuring the resistance of the drain pump, (1.2k). If the circuit reads open pull the unit to confirm the connections and check the wire harness continuity.

Low Level Sensor

A 9E error is triggered if f the high level sensor is not activated during the time allowed for the fill process or if a low level is detected during the wash cycle An oE error is triggered when the water in the case sensor reaches the overflow sensor and can also be triggered if water reaches the leak sensor in the shutter area while the water supply valve is open.
Check the voltages on the Leak and Overflow sensor connectors using CN302:4(ORG) as common, check CN301:5(SKY) for overflow or CN301:8(WHT) for Leakage, measuring 3.5Vdc if there is any moisture on these sensors Also check to confirm the machine is level level. Any variation in how level the machine is could contribute to flagging a potentially false error. If the machine is tilted to the right or to the rear the level in the case sensor could be low enough to trigger a 9E low-level o e e water ate error. e o Machines ac es tilted t ted to the t e left or to the front would be more susceptible to oE over-level water errors, and may have water coming out from around the door. Try disconnecting the sensors to see if the same errors are still flagged. If so, the Main PCB may y be at fault.

Low Level Sensor

An oE error is triggered when the water in the case sensor reaches the overflow sensor and can also be triggered if water reaches the leak sensor in the shutter area. While the water supply valve is open it is possible to trigger an over flow error as This chamber water in the break is transferred to the case fills with water sensor and the water level in the sensor during the fill seeks the same level as the water in the Transfe process process. t b tub. r to Case Confirm the case break, sensor, and Sensor hose are clean and free of debris that might interfere with the flow or detection of water in the system. Water If the water drains from the case break Inlet into the case sensor too quickly quickly, Overflow causing an error, there may be a crack Sensor in one of those assemblies Try disconnecting the sensors to see if the same errors are still flagged. If so, the Main PCB may be at fault.

Because the temperature sensor is used as a key monitor for f several different functions, the unit will check to confirm the thermistor is connected and operational before it triggers any functional errors. Any measurement outside the range of 0.2Vdc to 4.5Vdc means the thermistor is disconnected, shorted, or defective. defective Confirm these voltages yourself by measuring between CN301:9(BLACK) and CN302:5(PINK). To T confirm fi the h connection i and d continuity of the sensor pull one of the connections to measure the resistance of the sensor. Note that the thermistor will decrease in resistance as the temperature goes higher and that the thermistors response is not linear. linear

When the unit switches on the heater element it monitors to the thermistor to assure the heater is working properly. An HE heater error may be flagged during the wash or rinse cycle if the h temperature of f the h water does d not increase i more than h 4C, 4C (7F), 7F) within ten minutes of switching on the heater. pp cause may y be the result of a Random heater errors with no apparent marginal or out of spec thermistor.
You can confirm the heater coil resistance of about 15 by carefully lifting the RED heater wire from T202 and measuring the resistance to CN101:4(YELLOW). CN101:4(YELLOW) If the circuit appears open pull the machine to check the resistance directly on the heater terminals and to confirm the continuity of the wiring harness. Before replacing the heater, confirm that the coil is getting 120VAC during the wash or rinse cycles. You can measure 120VAC across terminals T202 and CN101:4(YELLOW) with the heater connected. Voltage is supplied during wash cycle during the main wash and the last rinse, or when using the Service Inspection Mode, step #4.

On the other end of f the temperature scale the unit will also flag f errors if f the temperatures detected by the thermistor exceed 80C, (176F). Temperatures in this range can scald skin practically on contact and reduce the useful life span of components in the unit itself. A 3E error will be flagged when the thermistor detects these temperatures when the water supply is ON. A 1E error is flagged when these temperatures are detected during the wash or rinse cycles. Random errors with no apparent cause may be the result of a marginal or out of spec thermistor. Confirm the temperature of the water supply connected to the dishwasher to assure that it is no higher than the 120~130 maximums recommended by the Consumer Products Safety Commission. Confirm the operation of the thermistor Confirm the heater element is switched on and off by the unit.
