The body of Christ is the temple (Jn 2:13-22)

13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, Get these out of here! Stop turning my Fathers house into a market! 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for your house will consume me.[a] 18 The Jews then responded to him, What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this? 19 Jesus answered them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days. 20 They replied, It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

OBITUARY

Our Almighty Father has called Mariam Ouseph Maveli eternally to His side. She was a Mother of four children, grandmother to seven and great grandmother to four. She is survived by her son Devassy and wife Sicily, son Mathew and wife Mary, daughter Sister Litty Maria and daughter Rosily and husband Paulose. Funeral services were held in Karikutty (Cochin), Kerala on November 8, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Your prayers and support would be greatly appreciated during this time. God Bless.

This week House blessing is assigned for far west St Philips ward and Skokie St Jude ward. Thank you very much for making this opportunity a time of Grace. Special thanks to the ward officials for arranging this spiritual event in Parish. We wish to close the Faith year with Forty hours of Eucharistic Adoration and Reflections starting on Friday 22nd through Sunday 24th November. Fr Jose Uppani will lead this spiritual event. Parish hall. This event is open to everybody of all ages. A fee is required questions please direct to Youth Coordinators. Womens Forum is conducting a membership drive. On Sunday December 22nd we will celebrate Grand Parents day, which will be coordinated by Womens Forum and CCD. Please support all grand parents may attend this annual event. Womens forum has come up with a help line program for those who have Baby-sitting issues. Dont bring food into church Bible month will focus on Gospel of John with special emphasis to the Eucharist. There will be a special Pothuyogam today immediately after this Mass Certain geographical changes have been approved by the Parish council for the following Family units in our parish. The city of wood bridge will be added to St Johns ward at Darien. And cities of Bowling brook, Romeoville, Plano and Plainfield will be added to Naperville ward. Cultural Academy is planning to publish a Varshika pathippu (Annual). Your literary contributions are welcome for publishing in this annual. This year the Christmas Carol singing through our houses will begin immediately after Thanksgiving Day. There will be a meeting of all ward officials next Sunday after 8.00 am Holy Mass. SOL will exhibit a movie called Manjadikuru on Saturday 16th at 2.00 PM at the Chavara Hall. Students and Parents are welcome to watch this movie.
