PARENT SCHOOL CLIMATE SURVEY REPORT

For Fortune School

INTRODUCTION
This second annual Parent School Climate Survey Report is based on data collected in spring 2013 at Fortune School. The survey asked parents about certain provisions stated in charter petition of the school such as a) their signing of a parent contract; b) their opinion about their childs academic preparation; c) their participation in parent-teacher conferences; d) their opinion about school safety; e) their parent service hours completed; and f) the availability of technology-based services in their home. Finally, parents were also asked to make suggestions for improvement of programs and operations at their childs school. This succinct report provides a quick overview of what parents said. A more comprehensive report is available for school staff.

PARENT SURVEY FINDINGS Participation: 74% (156 out of 210) Fortune School (FS) students had parents who participated in the survey in 2013. For 2012, 36% of Fortune School students had parents who submitted a survey. All subsequent percentages cited in this report will be based on the number of parents who turned in a survey.
