Welding coordination
The standard EN ISO 14731 spesifies competence 3 levels for personnel for welding coordination. Annex A: Recommendation for technical knowledge in welding. IWE International Welding Engineer; IWT International Welding Technologist; IWS International Welding Specialist.

EN ISO 14918 standard for certification of thermal sprayers. EWF has Guideline for education of thermal sprayers. EN ISO standard which specifies requirements for competence for Thermal Spraying Coordinator.

Welding of plastics
National standard for education and certification. EN-standard EN 13067 under revision. (for education and certification of plastic welders). EWF will adjust the Guideline for education of plastic welders in accordance with the revised EN-standard.

Who is approved for education of welding personnel?

NSF have based on Guidelines from NSF, EWF and IIW built education systems for different levels of welding personnel. Authorized Training Bodies ATB are performing this kind of education.

Norsok Standards
Specific requirements in Norsok Standards for competence: IWE is the required level for responsible welding coordinator. IWT-level can be accepted in some cases. Certified welders is a requirement. It is opend for the use of IW in spesial cases

Norsok continued Welding inspectors shall be qualified according to NS 477 or relevant IWIlevel.
