the callee and click on the Dial/Answer button. You do not need to have a selected account for
directcalling.
click on the arrow of the Phone to dial dropdown list. Here you can find the persons you have
calledinchronologicaldescendingorder.

Youcanmakeuseof6phonelinesforbothincomingandoutgoingconversations.
YoucaneasilyswitchfromlinesbyleftclickingontheLinebuttonyouwanttouseforthephone
call.
TheselectedlinebydefaultisLine1anditscolourisgreen.Whenyouselectanyotheridleline
(e.ganyblueline)itbecomesselectedandgreen.
Alineinamiddleofanestablishedconversationiscolouredinyellow.Ifyouselectit,itscolour
changestogreen.
A line, receiving an incoming call becomes pink in colour. Note that an incoming call is also
notifiedwithanInfoPad,andanoptionalpopupwindow.

Ifyouhaveselectedthepersonyouwanttocallandwhichlinetouse,youcancallyourcontact
personbyclickingontheDial/Answerbutton.TheHangupbuttonwillturnrednow.
3.3Endingaphonecall
Toendaconversation,simplyclickontheHangUpbutton
3.4Incomingcalls
Whenyouhaveanincomingcall,IDEFISKnotifiesyouinthefollowingways:
Youheararingtoneinyourheadphones/speakers.
AnInfopadappearsontopofIDEFISK.TolearnmoreabouttheInfopad,clickhere.
Thefirstidlelinewillbecomepink.
If you want to, you can also choose for a Popup menu with the callerID of the caller, as shown
below.Withthispopupwindow,youhave3options.
You can choose to Accept the call. You can also accept a call by clicking on the
Dial/Answerbutton.
YoucanchoosetoRejectthecall.YoucanalsorejectacallbyclickingontheHangup
button.
ClickingonIgnorewillnotendthecall.Itwilljustignorethepopupscreen.TheInfo
padwillremainontopofIDEFISKandtheringtonewillgoon.

ChecktheCalleventsoptionstolearnhowtoreceiveapopupwindowforincomingcalls.
3.5Hold
Whenanincomingoroutgoingcallbecomesaccepted,theHoldbuttonwillbecomeenabled.
YoucanconfigureAsterisksothatthecallerwhoisputonholdlistenstomusicwhilewaitingon
thephone.
3.6Transferringcalls
3.6.1Transfer

Whenanincomingoroutgoingcallbecomesaccepted,theTransferbuttonwillbecomeenabled.
Totransferacall(nomatterincomingoroutgoing),clickontheTransferbutton.
2.TheTransferpopupwindowwillappear.
2.UsetheNumberfieldtoenterthenumbertowhichyouwouldliketotransferthecall.
3.6.2Attendedtransfer
TomakeanAttendedtransferwithIDEFISK:

Change the Asterisk configuration file features.conf to the desired DTMF sequence that will be
usedforAttendedtransfer.
2.
Find in the configuration file the line shown below, to uncomment and set them to the desired
values.

Blindtransferwillbesettobeexecutedafteryoupress#inacall.
Attendedtransferwillbeexecutedonpressing*.
Tousethe#sequenceforattendedtransferadifferentsequenceshouldbesetforblindtransfer
sequence.

TotransfercallsusingDTMFsequencesthetandToptionsshouldbesetintotheDial()application

button,thenumberofmissedcallswillbeshown.

ProvideinfoforatleastFirstnameandPhone.Theother5fieldscanbeleftemptyifyouwantto.
Tosavetime,itisbesttoaddthepersonsyoucallmostoftentotheQuickdialpad.Youcandothisby
tickingtheQuickdialcheckboxwhenyouaddanewentrytoyourAddressbook.

5.Volumecontrol
You can easily control the incoming and outgoing volume of IDEFISK. Adjust the volume by
movingthesliderstotheleft(lesssound)ortheright(morevolume).
If you want to disable/enable the incoming/outgoing sound, click on the icon of the Speaker,
respectivelytheMicrophone.Theiconswillturnredwhenthesoundismute.
AlsonotetheAudiolevelindicatorswithinthesliders.Theyindicatetheoutgoingandincoming
soundrespectively.

person by clicking on the enabled Dial button. You can also scroll up and down to see the
