ANU-NICTA Scholarships
Description NICTA provides a range of scholarships including some that supplement awarded Australian government or university scholarships, and standalone NICTA postgraduate award scholarships. Both supplementary and standalone scholarships are set at a competitive rate and are offered to NICTAenhanced students on the condition that recipients also apply for government or university scholarships for which they are eligible and that they accept NICTA scholarship conditions. Applications are ranked by a joint ANU-NICTA selection committee under 3 assessment criteria academic merit, research potential and alignment with NICTA's research agenda. Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Science for Management Awards
Description The aim of the scheme is to provide students with funding to support their research programs from a wide variety of disciplines. Research must be relevant to the planning and management of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and World Heritage Area priority will be given to research projects that are considered a high priority for the management of these areas. Particular consideration will be given to those proposals that would contribute to the authority's key issues of: water quality and coastal development sustainable use climate change tourism and recreation and conservation, biodiversity and world heritage.
