Type Certication DNV KEMA offers accredited type certication comprising evaluation of design, type testing, and manufacturing, as well as an optional type characteristic measurements module (power quality and noise). Project Certication DNV KEMA provides owners, investors, and insurance companies accredited offshore certication services that cover all the critical phases of a wind farm project. Standards and Guidelines DNV KEMA has been active in developing standards, specications and guidelines for wind turbine structures and components since 2001. The standards integrate decades of experience from the offshore industry with DNV KEMAs in-depth wind turbine knowledge gained from the type certication of large megawatt turbines. In addition, DNV KEMA takes a leading role in developing and revising international standards through active involvement on a number of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) committees and European and national standards bodies.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT AND POWER PERFORMANCE TESTING
We Energies is an electric and gas utility serving more than 1 million customers in Wisconsin and Michigan. When they decided to move forward with the Blue Sky Green Field Wind Project, they selected DNV KEMA to provide project technical support and consulting services during the development process. The project consists of 88 Vestas V82 wind turbines, for a total capacity of 145 MW, and is capable of powering approximately 36,000 average homes. DNV KEMA conducted wind resource assessment activities, including data management and maintenance and logistic work on the meteorological towers at the site. In addition, DNV KEMA developed pre-construction energy estimates for the project, assisted We Energies with wind turbine selection and procurement, provided input during the negotiation of turbine supply and warranty agreements, and supported the regulatory approval process with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. DNV KEMA also provided We Energies with post-construction services that included designing, implementing and conducting power performance testing for the project.
