Human Deeds in Islamic Point of Vive Human actions and deeds cannot be classified as good or bad in itself. In general, all human deeds occur with the consequences that occur in each individual and the society. Islamic perspective on human deed is based on the fundamentals of Kala Kadar. Though there have been many misconceptions on the perspective of Kala Kadar, there arent any confusions on the facts that are revealed about human deeds. In Islam, there are only two groups who represent the extremes regarding Qadar and are considered outside the fold of Islam. One such group is called- Al-Jabiriyah which states that human beings have no control over their actions and everything is decided by Allah ( the God of Muslims). The other group is known as Al-Qadiriyyah which is based in the idea that every human being has complete control over his or her destiny, to the extent that Allah does not even know what we will choose to do. The Sunni view is in the middle between these two views, where they believe that Allah has knowledge of everything that will be, but that humans have freedom of choice. Sunni describes Qadar as one aspect of their creed. They strongly believe that the divine destiny is when God wrote down in the Preserved Tablet ("al-Lawhu 'l-Mahfuz") all that has happened in the past and what occurs in the present and what is yet to occur in the future. These are already prewritten in Al-Lawhu l Mahfuz by the Almighty Allah even before the creation of this universe. According to this belief, a person's action is not caused by what is written in the Preserved Tablet but, rather, the action is written in the Preserved Tablet because God already knows all occurrences without the restrictions of their venue. Belief in al-Qadar is based on four things. They are listed below. 1. lA -'Alam Knowledge: Allah knows what His creation will do, by virtue of His eternal knowledge, including their choices that will take place. 2. tabatiK Writing: Allah has written everything that exists including the destiny of all creatures in al-Lauh al-Mahfuz prior to creation.

3. ta'iihsaM Will: What Allah wills happens and what He does not will does not happen. There is no movement in the heavens or on earth but happens by His will. This does not mean that He forces things to happen the way they happen in the area of human beings' voluntary actions. It means that He knew what they will chose, wrote it and now lets it happen, and He can always change it if He wants. 4. lA -Khalaq Creation and formation: Allah is the Creator of all things, including the actions of His servants. They do their actions in a real sense, and Allah is the Creator of them and of their actions. Islam explains the difference between good and bad and their outcome in a simple and straight forward manner. Islamic faith is built on the concept of one God who is solely the ruler and executer of the entire human society and the universe. Islam is not ascribed to metaphysical powers, where many religious faiths strongly believe that there is a classification of gods that drive people to perform good and evil deeds. In this manner, each human being holds the responsibility and has the freedom to obtain credits to what they have done. Islamic faith emphasizes the fact that God created good and bad things and taught them through successive revelations. Further, God gifted all human beings the ability to think and the power of choice and thereby, they themselves have to distinguish the difference between good and bad. Thus, they become responsible for the path which they chose either good or evil. As stated in the Holy Quran, [ And by the oath of the soul, and Him who perfected it in proportion. Then He showed it what is wrong for it and what is right. Indeed, he succeeds who purifies his self (i.e. by doing righteous good deeds). And indeed he fails who corrupts his self (i.e. by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds).] (Ash-Shams 91:7-10) The sources of Islam are called as Shariah which means legal system in contemporary terminology. Muslims understand and follow the teachings on the nature of good and bad from the Holy Quran and through the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). Good and bad actions could be recognized purely on their practicality. Every human being should act to the best of their knowledge and ability and should be able to differentiate between good and bad. This positive approach is considered to be gauge by which every human beings

faiths are measured. In addition, Islam strictly reveals that the strength of peoples faith is judged on their deeds. Moreover, the Holy Quran constantly mentions about the impact of good and bad deeds in several instances. God mentions in the Holy Quran for more than 360 times where he invites the people to perform good deeds which are beneficial to themselves and to avoid performing evil tasks which in turn would harm them severely. Furthermore, Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) the messenger of God frequently conveyed the message of the importance of good deeds and its beneficial to the betterment of the entire society. In addition, the holy Quran and the Prophet Mohamed encouraged every human being to think positive and to act good so that their mind would be free of evilness. God constantly stresses on the idea of being good and performing good tasks and encourage his believers to stick to good deeds. At several occasions in the Holy Quran this fact is deeply analyzed. To name a few Quaranic verses, [ He who created death and life, that He may try which of you is best in deed.] ( Al Mulk-67:2) [ Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has faith, We will give him a life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.] ( An-Nahl 16:97) [ Then, as to those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will Admit them to His mercy: That will be the achievement for all to see.] ( Al-Jathiyah 45:30) [ For those who believe and work righteous deeds is a reward that will never fail.] ( Fussilat 41:8) While the following verses quoted from the Holy Quran depicts the consequences of evil and bad deeds. [ Whoever works evil will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find besides Allah, any protector or helper.] ( Al-Nisa 4:123) [Taste the penalty of eternity for your evil deeds.] ( As-Sajdah 32:14)

Good and bad are two adjectives qualifying human deeds or acts. They transcend religious rituals such as praying and fasting, to extend to acts related to all aspects of live, such as politics, economics, legal system, warfare, and social conduct, according to fixed criteria. Thus, it is evident that from the Islamic point-of-view, that good needs are associated with concepts of values, ideals, justice, and welfare while the evil deeds are the opposite. Likewise in Buddhist faith too stand on a similar basis when it comes to human deeds. A comparison on human deeds from the perspective of Islam and Buddhism Buddhism is based on metaphysics and Islamic faith is built on the trust of divinity which contains a visible image of the benefits of good deeds. Methodology The primary sources for this research are mainly based from Literal sources that are drawn from the Buddhism Tripitake, the Holy Quran and Hadees. Secondary sources are used as and when needed. Findings According to Buddhism, deed means human thoughts. They vary as good and bad. A persons deed regardless of good or bad is the reflection of his good or bad thought. A human being first thinks, secondly ( ) he shows its reactions by his actions, words and mind. Buddhist philosophy states that a persons good and bad deeds that he performs in this universe and decided upon his own thoughts and feelings. In Islam. It is clearly depicted in its religious scriptures (Quran and Hadees) that all tasks including human actions take place according to the will of the Almighty Allah. He has the sole power to decide a persons personality whether he or she would be a good or bad even before his birth. Thus, it is understood that behaviors and deeds performed by human beings are the ultimate outcome results of Gods will and faith. However, God has given the thinking ability to human beings who help them differentiate their deeds from good and bad, whereas animals do not have such capability. In Buddhism, human beings are responsible for their deeds. They should accept and enjoy the effects of any deeds they perform whether they like or dislike. He or she holds the responsibility for the outcome of their tasks performed. It is impossible for a human being to escape from facing the effects of his or her own deeds. Willingness to accept the results of his or her own deeds lies in the hands of that particular person. He or she cannot hand over the outcome of their tasks to any other person. Thus, in conclusion, Buddhist teachings and readings show that human deeds are actions of human thoughts. Islam strongly believes that all the human actions and deeds are decided by the Almighty Allah. Regardless of good or bad, it is derived from Gods will. Gods decides

his deeds even before his birth and it is continued till his death. Thus Islam says that human deeds are decisions made by God, the Almighty Allah. Almighty Allah has given the ability to think for human beings. Thus he rewards the human beings who performs good tasks and the same way, is he performs bad tasks, he is punished. Therefore, in conclusion, although human deeds are described differently in Buddhism and Islam, it should be noted that human beings hold the responsibility to decide about the outcome of his own tasks. Thus, human beings are gifted with knowledge which helps them differentiate and distinguish the positive and negative impact of their own deeds.
