I am indebted to Ms. Anu Shree (Instructor HCL Career Development Center) who enthralled me on the concepts of C, C++ and C# extremely well. The concepts explanation and implementation led me into the creation of my Mini Project ASES (Auto Shutdown Enabled System). EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report is to describe the successful completion of the inplant training which I underwent at the IT training wing of HCL Infosystems named as HCL Career Development Centre (CDC). HCL-CDC is the IT training division of 15,000 crores HCL Infosystems, India's premier information enabling company. Leveraging its 31 years of rich expertise in total technology solutions .The mission of this training division is to provide quality IT education to students and fresh graduates to provide industry ready man-power to IT industry and eventually the vision of HCL CDC is to bridge the skill gap between academics and industry. It was a 6 day training session at HCL CDC which dealt with concepts of C, C++ and C#. The first two days was focused on C and C++ base concepts which gave a better understanding on higher level languages such as C#. The next 4 days dealt with concepts of C# and SQL Database on the server side. Given below the schedule of the session conducted at HCL CDC. The concepts were well taught and simultaneous practical implementations made the sessions interesting and understandable. The knowledge earned during these 6 days of training was good enough for one to put forth it into action in the form of windows based softwares and applications. Though not much of the company can be stated as I visited an IT training sector of HCL Infosystems, it is noteworthy to mention that a small percentage of outsourcing was undertaken within the center. The entire experience in a word can be stated as good as industrial exposure in an IT field was not seen or learnt but the base concepts of software applications and its development were taught.

INTRODUCTION

An Inplant Training will provide an industrial exposure to the students as well as to develop their career in the high tech industrial requirements. Reputed companies are providing inplant training to Students, and one such is The HCL Infosystems IT training wing known as HCL Career Development Centre. Here students are taught IT related courses in order to emerge out as IT professionals thus creating bridge between academics and industry. After the successful completion of studies students have to face this competitive world with the knowledge to face many problems and to find the right solutions which is to be solved in the minimum duration of time. HCLs CDC provides a platform for graduates to have an industrial exposure as well as to develop their career in the high tech industrial requirements. The inplant training was conducted between 5th July to 12th July at HCL Career Devlopment Centre Valasarawakam. It was a 12 hour duration course which covers the software applications such as C, C++ programing languages and C# .NET Framework application. The software packages constitute windows as its base platform, thereby enabling a user friendly environment. HCL CDC targets the current trend in the IT sector hence provides a strong foundation for future IT professionals.

Custom Application Services - This includes customized IT Applications development, support & maintenance. IT Infrastructure Management - focuses on End User Computing Services, Data Center Services, Cross Functional Services, Enterprise Network Services, Security Services, Integrated Operation Management, and Mainframe & AS400 Services.

 Enterprise Application Services (EAS) - focuses on areas like in ERP, SCM, CRM, HCM, EPM, BI and Middleware. This group is now part of HCL AXON, subsidiary of HCL Technologies, formed after HCL Tech acquired Axon Group plc. for 440m cash offer in 2008.

Different Services Visited

The inplant training where I underwent dealt with training of IT professionals hence I didnt get the opportunity to visit many services of the IT sector which HCL normally handles. But never the less the network sector of HCL technologies comprises HCL CDC as its server maintenance, hence SQL servers were live and ready for demonstration. But not much of their server side could be explained as these sectors deal with highly confidential resources of the company.

My Mission
With the vast knowledge earned through this recent venture, I will implement it for social purposes and applications in a user friendly environment. Applications and Softwares that reduce human effort but increase the efficiency of productivity,

Personal Contribution Project ASES Auto Shutdown Enabled System Project Abstract
Research has proven that on an average more than 25% of power loss takes place in IT firms due to the carelessness of the employees. This has resulted as the employees do not turn off their system completely but in turn switch off their monitors to resume their work at a later stage. Project ASES is an initiative to reduce the power loss in IT firms by enabling the system network administrator to shut down the system connected to the network at a designated time. Project ASES also includes the EXTEND feature in the final warning to give users the option of saving their work if in any case they cross the required time without the admins approval. It is a revolutionary breakthrough as the user wouldnt have control over the shutdown and hence thereby saving energy in various means. Project ASES was coded using C# as its base and concentrated its application on Microsoft Windows platform. The code descriptive is based on the knowledge earned by undergoing the in-plant training that was conducted at HCL Infosystems HCL CDC, Valasarawakam. ANALYZE OF MY EXPERIENCE Difficulties

Theres an old saying No pain no gain these quotes best describe my experience during this inplant training. The inplant training that I underwent at HCL CDC was not industrial based but a course based, where the institution taught certain software oriented courses. Hence there was lack of Industrial exposure. Not many services where seen during the course period of the training.

Result
As a whole the inplant training was good, though it didnt meetup with the operation of the IT industry, it taught me the some of the requirements of the present IT industry. The experience was good and the knowledge earned during this venture is beneficial and of practical use.

CONCLUSION
The profit of an organization entirely depends on the way the top chairs manage the resources the organization has. Whatever the other aspects may be, it was seen that managing human resource was extremely difficult. The stability or the sustainability of the organization mostly depends on this factor. On the other hand, it was prominently seen that thinking should precede doing. In most cases it could be seen that there exists easier or better ways to do something. As far as the above mentioned factor is considered, continuous knowledge mining followed by experience in a cycle upholds the entire system in every aspect. Earning and living a satisfactory life is the desire of all. A week of training at HCL Career development center has greatly benefited me in several ways. I have witnessed the immense power of technology and how it can be put to productive purposes for the benefit of mankind. I also became aware of my role as a Computer science Engineering making this possible. During my 6 day period at HCL CDC I have learnt several things besides engineering which include, but are not limited to the working of a giant organization, interaction and communication skills, analytical skills, importance of safety in industry, time management and the most important fact that no work is small. The training has also inculcated in me professionalism and dedication to work. No textbook would have been able to do all this just within a span of a week. It has proved to be an important milestone in my academic life. Trained in HCL CDC is like joining a corporate directly. I didnt only get the best of technology training but also got exposed to the real life corporate culture (the discipline and attitude which ensure success in life). Thanks to all my trainers of HCL CDC, who mentored me.
