This parameter fixes, in a coded way, the time at which BSC shall trigger the switch routine tests. This time is relative to the BSC time, which uses only GMT (Greenwich meridian Time). It allows, to trigger the routine tests during night time whatever the geographic location of the BSC. It also allows preventing completely the execution of these routine tests. It is only valid for BSC G2. 0 : routing test never executed n: routing test executed every n minutes. (with 0<n<232) 255 = -1 routing test executed at 1AM GMT 254 = -2 routing test executed at 2AM GMT .. 233 = -23 routing test executed at 11 PM GMT 232 = -24 routing test executed at 12 PM GMT Network (CDE) Number BSC BSC Unit Minimum 0 Maximum 255 Default 255

The feature that consists to reject the new software in case of BSC restart overflow is in restriction. The events that can trigger an auto-reject in the BSC are communication trouble between the BSC and the OMC before the operator accept or reject the new software. In such a case, the auto-reject is always triggered. It is the reasons why, the flag is always set to true and not changeable from the OMC.

Transcoder MT120 module comprises 12 DSP. A interface channels [to be transcoded] can be distributed on 12 DSP or on 11 DSP. When distributed on 11 DSP, the 12th DSP is managed as a spare and is used to recover the failure of another one. The recommended setting is 0, it corresponds to the distribution on 11 DSP, thus allowing fault tolerance in the TC. This advice is valid whatever the presence /ratio of Half Rate calls in the BSC. NB: Name of the parameter comes from early deliveries of the MT120, when transcoding HR channels was expected to require more processing capacity, thus leading to distribute the channels on the 12 DSP.

MAX_PDCH and cell_type are defined in BTP. Shutting down state is not used. When "locked", it triggers a block on the NS-VC(s) contained in the associated NSE(s), a block on the associated BVC-SIG(s) and thus on all associated BVC(s) that are associated to the cells contained in this BSS. This advises the SGSN not to send any data on these cells and not to page any MS (using the BVC-SIG(s)). For each unlocked contained cell, a STOP_GPRS primitive is also sent to the BSC through the GSL(s) (when there is at least one GSL for the LXPU the cell is mapped onto). It is not propagated to the administrative state of the cells. Thats why this state needs to be read in order to get a complete information on cells.

OMC Changes: PRC & SC RNO Changes: No RNUSM / Cell footer Type Migration of common B8/B9 MFS parameters by the OMC (B) Copy of the existing value
MAX_PDCH and cell_type are defined in BTP. When the cell is set to "shutting down", it triggers a block on the BVC, advising the SGSN not to send any data on this cell. If no BVC is allocated to the cell, it has no particular effect and the administrative state becomes "locked". If there is a GSL on the LXPU this cell is mapped onto, and if the containing bss-function is not locked, a STOP_GPRS primitive is emitted on the GSL to the BSC. When the acknowledgement is returned, the administrative state becomes "locked".
