is all about making choices. When certain events come along so rar when they do, special attention must be paid. Events like solar ec s comet and for me a chance to talk to her, so I made a choice. I'm the plunge and go to the studio.

Damn. //// Luckily for me because of US Open all hotels were booked in the city so we kept walking around. You know, the island of Manhattan is a cozy village...populated by more than sev en million interesting individuals...But lately it seemed for me as if the entir e city...had been magically reduced to two people. An hour of conversation flew by in a space of few minutes... we behaved like we owned the sidewalk. And a few inches apart felt like miles apart. I realize that Einstein's Law of Relativity...Would have to be amended to includ e a special set of rules... those to explain the peculiar effects of infatuation. //// Once upon a time...in a kingdom far away...a certain determined man...and a slig htly less certain woman...kept bumping into one another. They seemed to meet eve rywhere. On street corners... It was almost as if they were dating accidentally. And then, after another chanc e meeting, I invited her to a made up party to make to seem like it is casual an d not a big deal...but it was a big deal for me.She didn t show up.She didn t show u p again. //// When you live in the city......the odds of bumping into the one other are incred ibly high. The odds of bumping into her when you look like shit are even higher. The city b ecomes a deserted battlefield loaded with emotional land mines. You have to be v ery careful where you step or you could be blown to pieces. /// I ran into my friend on the street the other day. He was hurt and hysterical. He 'd just broken up with another girl. I said I thought everything was fine. Then h e said that s when they tiptoe up and clobber you. The timing is wrong, that's all . //// Here are some things I love about this place: That week in spring when it's warm , but not hot......and the trees are just beginning to bloom, the Wall Street an d many more. /// In a town where everyone's dying to couple up......sometimes there's nothing bet ter than being out of a relationship....I was thrown right back into my old patt ern: take-out food, sleeping till noon... ...and feeling restless. /// Some good things about not being in a relationship are You have time to do your laundry...play video games...freedom to play your favorite bad music really loud

Today, I was one of them. I need a new start. I had a job interview. I had just submitted my resume for one of today's most happeni ng software firms. //// Manhattan is a place you can get anything anytime. Cabs at 2:00 am.mexican food at 3:00.But you can't get your dry-cleaning done for the interview. //// I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another w ith all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.
