 Taught in many non-vocational capacities in the


past including 25 years with adult learners at
churches in the Olympia area. Have traveled
extensively (e.g. Israel, Europe and the US) and
shared these experiences. Very comfortable in a
classroom setting and passionate and energetic
about the teaching profession

 Participated and facilitated many leadership


through quality (LTQ), total quality management
(TQM), sales and marketing curriculum during my
31 years with Xerox

 Participated in Increasing Human Effectiveness


(IHE), Increasing Respect in the Workplace (IRW)

and Respectful Workplace (RW)—a Diversity
Workshop while with DLP. All three workshops
were from Edge Learning Institute in Tacoma.

 Veteran of US Army honorably discharged in 1970


as a Sgt. E-5, after 6 years reserve service, in the
medical corp.

 Amateur astronomer as a hobby—built my own


telescope as a teenager and won science fair
awards
