Basic Guide/Instruction On How To Build A TrussWood House

First prepare the area for slab on grade, same area to the floor plan made !ommon thic"ness for concrete slab is #$$mm to #%$mm with reinforcing deformed bars #$&#'mm in diameter spaced at ($$mm on center )ro*ide a +$$mm depth b, '$$mm wide wall footing with -&#'mm reinforcing bars especiall, on perimeter of the floor plan and to those of load bearing wall if necessar, Also prepare/pro*ide a #'mm diameter deformed dowel bar or #$&#'mm e.pansion bolt spaced at /$$&#'$$mm being embedded to concrete for wall frame/panel connection 0a"e sure that the concrete flooring is le*el and flat 1et the concrete attained its curing period before drilling for placing/fi.ing of bolt connection and ta"e note of the necessar, preparation/s li"e plumbing roughing&in both sanitar, and waste lines, anchor connection such as bolt for wall panel to slab support !hec" the floor dimensions then start ,our la,out for wall setting and wall panel code per bundle for panel assembl, Once the floor dimensions are chec"ed and correct, assemble the pre&cut wall panels b, referring to its la,out/drawing using ,our claw hammer and + inch common wire nails )ut/dri*e ' common wire nails per 2oint or connection between timbers And install it with temporar, bracing using '.+ timber and nail it temporaril, Install the wall panels based on the floor plan and wall panel la,out 3ouble&chec" the line of plumb and le*el of the wall panel After chec"ing, put the permanent wall brace in +$&($ degrees position and nail it to the wall stud )lace the ribbon plate on top of the wall frame top plate especiall, for load bearing wall Fi. it with +&inch common wire nail spaced at +$$mm on center After putting the ribbon plate, la, out the floor trusses as per plan Ta"e note of the floor truss spacing indicated in the plan Temporar, nail the floor trusses at both ends of the bottom chord using # piece common wire nail onl, If the floor truss spacing is alread, chec"ed, place the strongbac" to its designated location based on the la,out/design Fi.ed the strongbac" to floor truss using ' pieces of +&inch common wire nail But before fi.ing, ta"e note of the le*el and plumbness of the floor truss For permanent fi.ing/connection of floor trusses to ribbon plate, use TG0/multigrip with +&- nails each side or face Ta"e note of the placement of strongbac" before fi.ing the floor trusses Because there were some instances that it is easier to set the strongbac" first before la,ing out the floor trusses 1a,out the structa floor/particle board as base flooring and install it It is recommended to use #/mm particle board minimum thic"ness for floor trusses with -%$mm&($$mm spacing Fi. the structa floor using ' 4 inch common wire nail or screw it aligned with the floor trusses5 top chord 6pacing for nail or screw is usuall, +$$mm on center

For the second floor le*el, again assemble/fabricate the wall panel, install again according to la,out After all second floor le*el wall panels ha*e been installed and braced, put the ribbon plate on top of the wall panel for the roof trusses Then, la,out and install the prefabricated roof trusses Ta"e note of the truss spacing and its plumbness Also consider the hangers and connectors to support the truss being installed Once the roof trusses are in correct position, place the speedbrace on the top chord of the roof truss and nail it with '&+ nails The la,out/position of the speedbrace depends on the span and shape of the roof At this point, installation of purlins or battens will follow At this stage, since the structure is alread, set&up and braced respecti*el,, we can now proceed to FI7I6HI7G/s li"e wall cladding, installation of doors and windows, plumbing and electrical/mechanical wor"s, roofing wor"s and painting
