A STUDY NOTE ON FOUR STEP THEORY I. INRTODUCTION 1.

This is a study note for better understanding of the Four Step Theory. II. SIGNIFICATORS 2. The 4 steps are as follows: 1) The Planet itself 2) The Star Lord of the Planet 3) The Sub Lord of the Planet 4) The Star Lord of this Sub Lord 3. n ea!h step" the houses signified by the planet are the house o!!upied and the houses owned by the planet. #ll the houses indi!ated in the 4 steps are basi!ally the se!ondary signifi!ators of the $%ain& planet in the step 1. 'ut of the% the pri%ary (strong) signifi!ators are !hosen by the basi! and spe!ial rules. 4. 'nly the pri%ary signifi!ators are !onsidered in this theory and the 3rd and 4th steps are gi)en %ore i%portan!e. n !he!*ing the pro%ise of an e)ent by the rele)ant !usp sub+ lord and !hoosing the fruitful ,-# for an e)ent" the !usp sub+lord and the ,-# lords are !onsidered by the houses of pri%ary signifi!ators in all 4 steps. III. PRIMARY SIGNIFICATORS III.1. Basic Primary Significa !rs .. The basi! pri%ary signifi!ators are as gi)en under: III.1.1. Bas"# !n S ar$!r# ..1. # planet a!ting as the starlord of another planet" i.e. a planet in the step 2 or 4 is a pri%ary signifi!ator of the house o!!upied and the houses owned by this planet" pro)ided they are e%pty (not o!!upied by Sun to /etu" without ta*ing into !onsideration of Fortuna" 0ranus" 1eptune and Pluto). So the e%pty houses" in the $atta!hed& e2a%ple !hart 1" $1" 2" 3" 4" 11" 12& houses" are to be noted down. These houses pri%arily signified are the /P grade # signifi!ators and grade 5 signifi!ators" whi!h are upgraded when the rele)ant houses are e%pty. III.1.%. Bas"# !n S ar P!si i!n ..2. # planet with no planet in its star or a planet in its own star is the pri%ary signifi!ator of the house it o!!upies and the houses it owned" only if the houses are

e%pty. So in the e2a%ple !hart 1" the planets with no planet in their stars are to be %ar*ed by 678" $9o" 9e" :u" Sa& and the planets in their own stars by 6;8" $<a" /e&. #ll these planets" $9o" 9e" :u" Sa" <a" /e&" are the pri%ary signifi!ators in any step of 4 steps. 'therwise the planets in step 1 and step 3 are the se!ondary signifi!ators. These houses pri%arily signified are the upgraded /P grade - signifi!ators for the planets with no planet in their stars and in their own stars and upgraded grade , signifi!ators" when the rele)ant houses are e%pty. n the e2a%ple !hart 1" =enus is a pri%ary signifi!ator in the steps 2 and 4 but not in the steps 1 and 3. III.%. Ra&'()" ' Significa !rs 3. The abo)e sa%e rules (in the point .) apply to <ahu>/etu" whi!h gi)es the results of the planets !on?oined and aspe!ting within the 3d:2@% orb" its star+lord and its sign+lord in the as!ending order. #s a pra!ti!al starting point" the house o!!upied by <ahu>/etu" and the house o!!upied and the houses owned by its sign+lord are usually ta*en into !onsideration. 'nly if <ahu>/etu is itself the $pri%ary signifi!ator&(as per the prin!iples in the point .)" then the planets !on? or aspt" star+lord and sign+lord also will be!o%e the $pri%ary signifi!ators&. f <ahu> /etu is itself the se!ondary signifi!ator only" then they also will be the se!ondary signifi!ators e)en though they are by the%sel)es the pri%ary signifi!ators. n the atta!hed e2a%ple !hart 1" sin!e <ahu is a pri%ary signifi!ator in any step of 4 steps by being in its own star" its $Sgl =e and !on? :u& also be!o%e the pri%ary signifi!ators. n the atta!hed e2a%ple !hart 2" <ahu is a pri%ary signifi!ator in the steps 2 and 4 but not in the steps 1 and 3. The pri%ary signifi!ators of the !on?oined and aspe!ting planets are also to be added as rele)ant. The results of the !on?oined or aspe!ting planets or star+lord (when <ahu>/etu is a pri%ary signifi!ator) should be gi)en first priority" then the sign+lord !an not gi)e its results. n the atta!hed e2a%ple !hart 2" for the pri%ary signifi!ator <ahu as a Stl of Su" $#sp by :u(3"1@) and Stl 9o(2"B)& are supposed to be stronger than $Sgl 9e(4)&" whi!h is assu%ed not to gi)e its results in su!h !ase.
