Situation/Problem/Opportunity: A department in Quezon City Hall, Business Permit and Licensing Office is currently following a scheme called Business One Stop Shop (BOSS). BOSS has been found to be effective but it does not maximize its capability of handling clients time. PurposeStatement(Goals): We found out that since BOSS could handle in effect about forty (40) permits a day, why not devise an online system where clients could put on their information so that by the time they go to the BPLO office all they have to do is to give the needed valid documents and just pay necessary fees. The online system will also address for the scheduling which could save time and effort not by client alone but also by the employees in the said department. Deliverables To provide the possible amendment(s) for the project based on the given specification, requirements and criteria Prototyping and testing of the solutions Implementing of the software and including database population Interface and integration development and testing; and Training for both technical and non-technical users. Support structure, staffing and rollout.

Methods/Approach: Establish selection committee and selection process. Define Requirements. Test and document the setup and testing procedures Select and implement solution. Train users and technical staff. Establish support processes Use the new system.

SuccessCriteria: Improve records availability and accessibility of information, collateral, forms and documents Reduce system downtime, related wait time and systems response times. Increase the consistency of the information by providing ubiquitous availability and stability.

RisksandDependencies: Cost justification in ease of use, quality of information, speed of accessibility, ease of support and maintenance is difficult to quantify in a way management can see improvements in utilization of systems investments. Selection committee, governance committee approvals create long delays resulting in extending implementation schedule. Long implementations tend to lose enthusiasm.
