What's New for OMNI 3D Version 12.0

Surveys
Custom Reports
Custom Reports can be created which
display statistical data with full,
rich-text formatting, including bolding
and color. Each custom report is
created from a template; so polished,
repeatable, reports and displays can be
created for all survey designs.
Access: Survey name right-click
menu | Summaries
Keyword: custom report

Flip-Flop Wizard
Edit OBC stations more easily with the
help of the new Flip-Flop Wizard.
Un-Flip-Flop stations to the sail path,
edit that path using various edit tools,
then re-flip-flop the stations.

Drag Lines Wizard

Move survey stations onto a smooth,
curved detour line. This tool has been
designed to smoothly bend a line
around obstacles. The stations can be
chained or projected onto that line.
Unlike most of the other Editing Tools,
the stations aren't selected before
editing. Just click and drag!
Access: Survey name, Shots or
Receivers right-click menus | Edit
[Shots or Receivers] | Drag Lines;
Station Editing Tool Bar Drag icon

Set Station Closest Distance

See closest distances between stations
and where problem areas exist. This
tool calculates the minimum distance
from a station to its neighboring
stations, and creates an attribute for
the values. Stations can then be colored
and selected using this attribute. You
choose whether the neighboring
stations are on the same line, on
different lines, or in a specific direction
from the station being calculated.
Access: Shots or Receivers right-click
menu | [Shots or Receivers] Attributes
Keyword: station attributes, station
proximity
Select Stations by Date or Text Attribute
Coloring stations by date and text attributes has always been available. Now the stations
can also be selected by those attribute types. Once they're selected, they can be edited; or
reports can be generated for those stations.
Access: Station Editing Tool Bar, Select Stations Tool
Keyword: attributes, date
Summary Files and Attributes
Need to report statistics for just the shots drilled by hand? Or those stations live on a
specific date? Create a survey summary for groups of stations with the same attribute and
values in a user-defined range. The summary will display the same statistics for each group
but the statistics will be reported separately for each group.
Access: Survey name right-click menu | Summaries | Create a Summary; or Shots or
Receivers right-click menus | Create [Shot or Receiver] Line Summary
