The Creation In the beginning heaven and earth, Were created by His Word And God said: Let

t there be light, So morning came followed by night And evening passed and morning passed, A first day of the creation God created the firmament, In the midst of the water And He named the firmament heaven, Waters above and waters under And evening passed and morning passed, A second day of the creation He gathered waters under the heavens, To form the dry land and seas Then God said: Let earth bring grass, So it brought herbs, fruits and trees And evening passed and morning passed, A third day of the creation He made in the firmament, All the stars and the great lights The sun to rule by day, And the moon to rule by night And evening passed and morning passed, A fourth day of the creation God said: Let the waters abound, With living creatures to fill the seas And let birds fly above the earth, So it brought forth all kinds of beasts And evening passed and morning passed, A fifth day of the creation And God said: Let the earth bring forth, All the cattle and creeping beasts Then he crowned His whole creation, Forming man in His image And evening passed and morning passed, A sixth day of the creation Thus the heavens and the earth, Were finished with all their hosts On the seventh day God ended, All the work which He had formed And God rested from all His work, The seventh day of the creation.

A crown above creation, In the image of God The Lord created Adam, And filled him with His love From the dust of the ground, The Lord God formed man He breathed into his nostrils, So he became a living being Out of God's endless love, And His abundant grace He planted a garden in Eden, For Adam to maintain The Lord gave man the freedom, To obey or live astray He also gave him a commandment, To guide him throughout his way And He gave him dominion, Over the birds and beasts So Adam named every creature, And lived with them in peace The Lord said it's not good, That Adam should be alone So He brought for him a helper, And joined them through flesh and bone

The Serpent And it happened that the serpent, Was more cunning than all beasts He came crawling softly to Eve, And told her in a firm voice Did God really give you order, You shall not eat of every tree?! Our mother Eve was na'95ve, Not knowing the serpent's deceit She answered, "Only from one tree,In the middle of all the trees, We may not eat it, nor even touch it, God told us, or else we die." The serpent then made fun of Eve, And told her, "You will not die! But if you eat from its fruit, You will suddenly be like God, Your eyes will be opened wide, And you will know evil from good!" When Eve saw that the tree, Looked tempting and good for food, It was pleasant to the eyes, And desirable to make one wise. So, she ate and gave her man, And both fell in temptation.

Adam
Adam Adam, where are you now? Why did you Adam, fall in temptation? Listen to the Lord's voice, The Mighty King and Judge Cursed are you O serpent, On your belly, you shall go, I'll put enmity between, The seed of the woman and you; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. As for you O woman, I will greatly multiply Your sorrow and your conception, In labor you shall cry. You will desire your husband, And to him you submit. And why did you Adam, Disobey your Father? For that I cursed the ground, Thorns and thistles it will bring In toil you shall eat of it, Till you return to dust

Noah and the Ark Because you are perfect Noah, And just in your generation You have found grace in the eyes, Of the Lord of all nations Make yourself an ark, Of chosen gopher wood The ark will then resemble, The cross of the Son of God And make rooms in the ark, Rising three high decks Just as the church will gather, From all nations and tongues Then cover it inside out, With pitch to seal it tight For the believer is protected, Through the Holy anointment And set its door to the side, Like Jesus on the cross Through His wounds we enter into, The place of eternal blessing Then enter into the ark, With your sons and your wife And take from every creature, A couple to spread life I will then bring the flood, To destroy all the flesh But My covenant I keep, So you will not perish The ark will be a symbol, To the first sacrament For through baptismal water, Forgiveness is granted
