TAX INFOMERCIAL FINAL PROJECT

Tax is the LIFEBLOOD OF THE GOVERNMENT. According to this doctrine, taxes should be collected by the government without unnecessary hindrance. Without taxes, the government cannot address the basic needs of its people and it cannot perform the mandate set by the Constitution. With the current controversies involving misappropriation of the taxes, taxpayers have this notion that they will not pay tax because it will not serve its purpose the PUBLIC. Thus, it is just proper to remind the taxpayers of the importance of taxes not just on a personal level but to the country and its people. The Tax Infomercial is a final requirement in completing the Tax 1 Income Taxation subject. It aims to raise public awareness on the importance of taxes in nation building by exploring the creativity and talents of the students using film or visuals as their medium of expression. Set below are the mechanics: 1. The concept and theme of the infomercial must be strictly in relation to the importance of paying taxes. Originality is highly encouraged. 2. Dialogue and written text must be in English, Tagalog or Cebuano. 3. Original Musical Scoring, if applicable, is highly recommended. 4. The infomercial can either be film produced or a combination of an animated-film produced. Purely animated film format is not allowed. Each member should have a participation in the infomercial (part of the production team or casts). The final list of the production team should be submitted to the instructor before September 9 (MWF) or 10 (TTh), 2013. 5. The infomercial should not be shorter than 2.5 minutes but not longer than 4 minutes. Any infomercial that exceeds the allowable time will receive 2.50 as their final mark for this project. 6. Majority of the infomercial must be original and exclusively shot for this project. 7. No part of the video should indicate the schedule of the class, but only the subject, if necessary. 8. Credits and acknowledgements should be provided at the end of the video, a maximum of 20 seconds should be allotted for this, NOT included in the total time of the infomercial. 9. Each group should submit One (1) Data File for HD or PC playback for archival purposes. 10. Each class should submit One (1) Digital Video Disk (DVD) containing the infomercial of all groups. 11. Liquidation of the expenses should also be submitted. The team leader should make sure to minimize cost without undermining the content of the infomercial. Maximum contribution for each student should be P200/student. 12. Deadline of submission will be on OCTOBER 1, 2013 for ALL CLASSES. 13. It will be graded on how the infomercial flowed seamlessly and with strong, compeling and interesting visuals that will attract and create impact. The contents must not be against democracy, religious freedom, the laws of environment, honor, dignity and the moral standards of every Filipino. 14. The specific criteria for judging shall be as follows: Content 50% (concept, theme, relevance, perspective and objectivity) Creativity 50% (originality, execution, impact, entertainment factor)
