Daily Program for Shias from Morning to Night

1- Start the day with the Fajr or Morning Prayer after performing the nafilah or supplementary Fajr prayer, which acts as a spiritual preparation and prevent laziness and lethargy. It is important, however, to stay awa$e till sunrise, a deed that might increase one#s wealth, and to read at least '(( ayats of the )ur#an during this time. 3- Say the *stia#atha, as$ing +od for protection against the ,evil and his evils, at the eginning of the day. 4- Promise yourself, as you are going to wor$ or school, not to commit any diso edience during this day. !hen o serve yourself carefully throughout day time, and finally evaluate your performance efore you go to ed5- .emind yourself that you are going to wor$ for the sa$e of +od, aiming to o tain financial independence. % woman should choose a wor$place where she can avoid mi/ing with men. ,evils and corrupt men are waiting for any chance to hunt women, especially during wor$ time when no arriers are maintained etween the se/es. 6- !ry always to e under the purity of 0udhu#, or ritual a lution, ecause outward purification leads to inward purification. .enew wudhu# each time it is ro$en. 7- +ive daily sada1a, or charity, even if it is something small. If you don#t find a poor man near you, you can set the money aside till you find one. 8- Say farewell to your family mem ers, as$ing them to pray for your success, to forgive you for any mista$es, especially your wife, and advise them to do their daily prayers early at the eginning of the recommended times.

In general, the eliever should always have a valua le li rary with a variety of oo$s at all levels, including women and children#s

oo$s, to encourage himself and others to read. 12- !ry not to pleasantly chat with neglectful people, especially of the opposite se/. ;nnecessary tal$ing and jo$ing are means to fall into more dangerous pro lems. It is prudent to consider efore opening our mouths whether or not we are saying something which satisfies %lmighty +od. 13- 6arry a schedule of prayer times with you, to perform Salat %d-,huhr, the <oon Prayer, which has a distinctive position amidst the swarm of daily usiness, at the eginning of its time, no matter how usy you are. =ou should ta$e general permission from your oss in advance to perform your prayers on time. Istighfar after %fternoon and <ight Prayers are two important points, '3 hours apart, that cause the eliever to live in continuous purity. 15- !ry to contact some of your rothers in your free time, not just for fun, ut to achieve the goal of communication with elievers and pleasing their hearts. 16- % major pro lem of sitting with neglectful people is ac$ iting and insulting others. !ry to avoid starting any conversation regarding other persons. 9istening to ac$ iting, as well, is another form of participating in it- .emem er the analogy in the 7oly )ur#an which considers this act li$e eating your dead rother#s flesh. 0hat a disgusting act 17- *nter your home with a smile on your face, leaving wor$#s tension outside, to avoid disappointing your wife who is waiting for you in love from early morning, preparing food and comfort to share with you. 18- 6onsider lunch a divine ta le at which you are a guest. ,on#t forget the manners of the same, li$e eing in a state of purification ?a lution@, eating 7alal food, saying Aasmala efore starting, than$ing +od after finishing, and other narrated manners in this regard.

It is necessary to share in the concerns of Muslims, as the one who spends his day not caring a out Muslims8 affairs is not a real Muslim- !he supplication of al-Faraj is no dou t one way to hasten this nation#s rescue and relief. 20- !a$ing rest after lunch is recommended to relieve the stomach and help digestion. Meanwhile, $eep your mind usy with silent prayers or with what you have to do after wa$ing up. 6ontrolling thoughts and imagination is a great door opened towards success-

21- !ry to do your shopping and outside duties in the times when there is less of a crowd and mi/ing etween se/es, li$e in the afternoon. %void the mar$ets that are well $nown for heavy crowds and the mi/ing of se/es, especially when you have no necessary duties there. Mar$ets are the most hated places to %lmighty +od, and the most hatred people to 7im are those who go there the earliest and leave the latest22- Ma$e a special program for the Maghre or Sunset Prayer. ,o not go to a place where you will miss this prayer at the eginning of its time. !hat would e an uncompensated loss, no matter how much material profit you otherwise gain23- !he time efore sunset is a lessed time. !a$e advantage of the last 1uarter an hour to send Salawat or lessings upon the prophet and his Family, may +od#s peace and lessings e upon them. In addition, you should say the Istia#adha ten times, and other !as eeh recommended for this time. 24- If you don#t succeed in performing the daily <awafil of BC ra$a#as, you should at least perform Salat %l-+hufaila - etween Maghri and Isha#a prayers- a special prayer said to lead to Paradise, and the 0atira prayer after Isha#a prayer. ,o your est to attend congregational prayers in the mos1ue, if there is one close to your house.

If after some time you get used to living in such conditions, you will e living in a state of spiritual tourism that can never e compared to tourism of the material world. 26- !a$e your dinner early, and ma$e it light so that it won#t prevent you from wa$ing up for the <ight prayer. 27- =ou should have an organized program for useful reading. .ead oo$s according to a schedule, to finish a course of study in doctrines, e/egesis of the )ur#an, history or 7adeeth, in addition to your academic or professional oo$s. .andom reading will not improve your culture28- Spend enough time with your family and children. +uide them to useful narration and warn them a out issues of concern, li$e the ad effects of the Internet and satellite channels. =ou can gather your family to read some of the Islamic laws according to the scholar who, you elieve, is the most $nowledgea le one at this time. 29- Schedule one day or more in the wee$ to accompany your family to a garden, a par$ or the li$e to entertain them. !ry to e happy and gentle, and avoid all $ind of distur ances. <ever ta$e them to suspicious places where they would e su ject to for idden loo$ing and mi/ing. %void also visiting suspicious restaurants, which might sell you non-7alal food as 7alal-

If you have to, li$e for some social reason, do it carefully and 1uic$ly, so that your good intention won#t end with a for idden deed- Ae cautious to isolate women and men during these visits, as per the instructions of %hlul-Aayt, may +od#s peace and lessings e upon them. So many prohi ited relationships with women, even married women, have started through such mi/ed visits, with unlimited chatting and jo$ing. 32- !ry to go to ed early, unless you are una le to sleep, for otherwise you might e charmed y delusions and ad thoughts. It is possi le that some types of thin$ing may drag you into for idden acts, whether in ed or after wa$ing up. 33- !here are some narrated recommendations efore going to ed, li$e saying !as ih %z-"ahra#a, saying Surat %t-!awhid three times, the last verse of Surat %l-:ahf to ma$e you wa$e up for the <ight Prayer - along with preparing an alarm to help you in that -, sleeping in a state of wudhu# or ritual purification, as$ing %lmighty +od for forgiveness, sleeping on your right side facing the direction of )i la, and so on. 34- !he hours of sleep should e controlled, ecause people normally sleep more than they really need, especially on wee$ends and holidays.

%n2nimo - 3'4(343((5 .....6ontinue from a ove..... 35- <ight Prayer, a conversation with %lmighty +od, is one of the most important worshipping stops, especially in the dar$ness and with emotional communication. 0a$e your wife and family mem ers for this stop as well. If you cannot perform it completely, don#t miss the three ra$a#as of Shaf#e and 0itr directly efore Fajr Prayer. If you even missed this, then compensate for it sometime during the day to show %lmighty +od your persistence in getting closer to 7im. 36- Maintaining ties with relatives does not necessarily mean visiting them. If there is any negative religious influence amongst them, it would e est to as$ a out them through a phone call37- Staying in a good health is something that is recommended y the religion. !ry to have a suita le athletic program, without going to suspicious places and participating in prohi ited acts. It is recommended, rather, to have such program at home, while listening to something reminds you a out %lmighty +od. 38- =ou should have an e/ceptional program for the eve and day of each Friday, repeating salawat upon Mohammed and his Family, may peace and lessings e upon them, whispered prayers, visiting the sic$, visiting the graves of the elievers, and other useful programs. !he Supplication of :umai is also a main feature on the eve of Friday, and the Supplication of <ud a and the ghusl or ritual shower of Friday are main features during the day on Friday.

%n2nimo - 3'4(343((5 .....6ontinue from a ove..... 39- Seasons of special devotions should e prepared for in advance, through referring to the related oo$s in this regard. It is also important to perform the prayer of the first day of a 7ijri month, to o tain security for the entire month. Its method is to recite Surat al-7amd one time followed y Surat al-!awhid thirty times in the first ra$#a, then recite Surat al-7amd once and Surat al-)adr thirty times in the second ra$#a. Follow the prayer with the recommended supplication, and give charity for the month. 40- It is very important for the worshipper to devote time in recollecting the tragedies that efell the 7oly Family of the Prophet may +od#s peace and lessings e upon them. !he worshipper should especially recollect the tragedies that occured to Imam 7ussein and his Family, may peace e upon them, even if it is only once per wee$. If it is not possi le for him to participate in pu lic majlises, then these can e o tained through recordings, and perhaps he will e a le to gain an understanding of the event and listen to the o servance. It is important not to neglect performing the ziyarat of Imam 7ussein, may peace e upon him, on !hursday night. It is one of the opportunities for success, even if from a distance.
