ch. b. there, as Mary, wh. m. 14 Nov. 1643, John BRYANT; prob. George; and Thomas; perhaps Edward; Jabez,
wh. d. unm.; and James, but at S. had John, b. 2, bapt. 11 Mar. 1638; and at B. had Ephraim, 23, bapt. 25 July
1641; and Sarah, 2, bapt. 11 Feb. 1644; but we know not the date of his d. yet it was prob. aft. 1663, for his will
was brot. forward 3 Mar. 1664. It names w. Mary, s. Ephraim, George, Thomas, James, Edward, John, and d.
Sarah. John was k. by the Ind. unm. 26 Mar. 1676, under capt. PIERCE. His d. Mary, wh. had m. 14 Nov. 1643
John BRYANT of Scituate, and had seven ch. was d. seven yrs. bef. her. f.; and Sarah m. 26 Dec. 1663, James

bef. 1640 had gr. of ld. Mr. WILLIS, in Vol. I. 37 and 174, conject. that he was s. of the first ment. George; but in
my opin. he was older, and may have been s. of Thomas, tho. he d. without issue male, WILLIS thinks. He liv. and
d. at Falmouth, had s. John, to wh. were gr. 100 acres as early as 1657; and Philip; beside four ds. Ann, wh. m.
James ROSS; Susanna, m. Thomas CLOICE or CLOYSE; Mary, b. at f. 1654, m. first, Thomas SKILLINGS, sec.
Jotham LEWIS, and third, a WILKINS, was liv. at Salem 1732; and Hannah, m. James DARLING. GEORGE,
Barnstable, eldest s. of George the sec. of the same, by w. Eliz. had Thankful, bapt. 16 Sept. 1683, and I find no

[LEWIS, ...] JOHN, Scituate, by DEANE call. br. of the first George, was of Tenterden in Co. Kent, and came in
the Hercules, 1635, with w. Sarah and one ch. as the vicar of T. and the mayor certify for him. He rem. in few yrs.
to Boston, where his w. d. 12 July 1657. JOHN, New London 1648, common. noted as sen. because, beside other
ch. of whose b. none is seen on rec. he had s. John; was freem. bef. 1669; and d. 8 Dec. 1676. JOHN, br. of George
of Barnstable, was, very early, perhaps 1638, at Yarmouth, but not long contin. may be the same as the preced.
JOHN, Lancaster, freem. 1665. JOHN, Falmouth, eldest s. of George of the same, took a deed from CLEVES
1657. Willis, I. 68. In 1674 he kept an inn, and rem. aft. the begin. of Philip=s war to the W. prob. was liv. 1683.
JOHN, Lynn, s. of Edmund, b. in Eng. m. 17 June 1659, Hannah, d. of capt. Thomas MARSHALL, had John, b.
30 Mar. 1660; Hannah, 25 Feb. 1662; Thomas, 2 June 1663; Mary, 24 Feb. 1666; Benjamin, 27 Apr. 1667;
Samuel, 25 July 1675, d. soon; Abigail, 16 May 1679; Ebenezer, 16 July 1681; and Eliz. 7 Apr. 1684. He may
have been the freem. of 1684, but certainly not, as FARMER, foll. the lead of LEWIS in his Hist. gave it, 1646.
JOHN, Boston, butcher, m. 22 Nov. 1659, Alice, wid. of Nathaniel BISHOP, d. of James MATTOCK, who, in his
will, refers to her, had Samuel, b. 12 Jan. 1662; Joseph, 4 Feb. 1663; and Benoni, 25 Jan. 1665. Ano. JOHN of
boston is call. mariner in 1669. JOHN, Portsmouth, perhaps s. of Philip of the same, m. Martha, d. of William
BROOKING, and she next m. a RENDALL, prob. had John, James, and Philip, nam. in their gr.f.=s will of 1 Nov.
1700. JOHN, Saybrook, d. prob. 1670, for in June of that yr. inv. was rend. says the rec. by LORD, his admor.
