I bring you greetings on behalf of Eduardo and Eva Arriaga, Christian Missionaries
in the State of Morelost Mexico.

Several months ago, in a letter, I mentioned that Eduardo would be needing a newer vehicle. He has had many problems with his 1975 pickup truck and it has reached the point that it is not good stewardship to continue putting more money into a
worn out truck.

I just received word that the differential has gone out and his truck is disabled.

He needs $600 to make repairs.

The Riverton Christian Church Board has discussed

this problem and decided that it would be better to raise the money for a newer vehicle now rather than continue to spend large sums of money on the worn out truck.

The problem is, there is only $1,98^ in savings at this time. Eduardo tells us that he can buy a good used. Suburban for around $8,000. This kind of investment will purchase a vehicle that will give several years of good service without any

major problems. A new Suburban sells for around $l6,000 and a new pickup sells for arount $12,000. Another problem with buying a pickup is that it must have a
camper shell and seats before the Government will allow passengers to ride in the

back. The camper shell and seats on the present truck are worn out. You may be thinking that we could buy a late model truck here in the States for less money. You are probably ri^t, however, the Mexican Government would levy a tax on the vehicle equal to its cost or value. So it would actually wind up costing more, and Eduardo would have a problem when he needed repair parts. God has richly blessed His followers in this country. We have material posessions that people in underdeveloped countries only dream about. It is our responsibility to share these blessings in order that the Gospel can be spread throughout the world

I make this special appeal for you to share in spreading the Word in Mexico. Your offering at this time will allow Eduardo to carry on this important work. A vehicle is very important and an intregal part of his ministry.
