The maximum number of participants is fixed as 25 members. Selected candidates will be intimated by email. Confirmation of participation is to be made by sending reply e-mail. The Following factors may be considered while selecting the participants. a) Participants will be selected on first come & first serves basis. b) Priority will be given to young faculty *Accommodation may be provided at CEG- AU Hostel for outstation candidates free of cost subjected to the availability.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT


The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), as well as in the country. Established in the year 1894, CEGs Mechanical Department has been providing excellent learning and research opportunities for undergraduate, post graduate and research students, in addition to providing consultancy services to the multiple industries. The department is currently offering two UG programmes and seven PG programmes. More than 150 research scholars are currently doing research in the department in various areas of their interests.

ABOUT THE TRAINING PROGRAMME


The Faculty Development Training Programme is intended to provide opportunity for the faculty members working in Engineering Colleges to upgrade their knowledge in the areas of Heat and Mass transfer. Besides this programme provides a premier forum for the dissemination of current technical ideas about the recent technologies and their significance in the field of Heat and Mass Transfer.

ABOUT CENTER FOR FACULTY DEVELOPEMENT


The Centre for Faculty Development started by the University conducts faculty development training programmes to cater to the needs of faculty members for the past 10 years. The Centre trains the teachers to plan and prepare the lessons, understand the subject contents and improve the teaching quality. These programmes are conducted during the Summer / Winter Vacation to enable the teachers to participate and benefit. The Centre for Faculty Development of also conducts the ANNA EDUSAT and WEB CONTENT audio-video lecture programmes for the benefit of Technical Institutions.
