As the holidays draw near, it is time to reflect upon the accomplishments and celebrations of the past year. I reflect upon the joy our students bring each day with their smiles and laughter lighting up the halls. I must say that I am truly thankful to have the incredible staff here at Pioneer. Our team works tirelessly to provide innumerable opportunities for our students and bring our school to life. Our students inspire us to do our best which, in turn, brings out their best. BAND NEWS
Grade 6 Honour Band
We have many grade 6 students interested in the Honour Band program! Letters have been handed out to all Grade six students this week. Along with the usual sign up sheet, students must take home this letter to parents and bring back the bottom of the form by December 16th. These students will receive their music before the holidays!! Students may hand in forms until January 12th. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Hastings at 845-2468 or by email.

Remind 101
Pioneer School Band will be using a free text messaging service called Remind 101 as an added way to communicate with parents. This program allows us to send text messages updates/reminders to parents who have signed up for the program. These messages will come from the office and not individual teachers. You cannot reply to the messages as they are meant for information purposes only. If you would like to sign up for this service please text the message Grade 6 Band @244f0 Grade 7 Band @239aee Grade 8 Band @bandgrad To (587)409-5915 You will then receive a message asking for your name, please be sure to reply with your full name as that is what will appear on our contact list. If you have signed up for this service through another school, it may not ask you for this information.

Red Deer Kiwanis Festival Gr. 7/8 Solos & Ensembles

We are expecting excellent participation in the festival again this year. Students have been signing up in class for solos and ensembles. Forms have been sent home. It would be best to have forms and fees back by the end of December but they will also be accepted the first week back in January.

treasures in support of the Red Cross and the Philippine relief efforts. We were overwhelmed by the response. $1601.61 was collected and will be sent off to the Red Cross. As well the students and staff had a hat sale prior to the garage sale with all proceeds to be sent to the Red

Please remember to bring a sheet of fabric for a toga and your food that you signed up for.

Cross Philippine relief efforts. $215.55 was collected and added to the garage sale amount, totally all monies donated to this cause to be $1817.16.

Thank you to the Rocky Bottle Depot for your generous support to our Breakfast Program for the amount of $649.25. Our students thank you for helping keep their stomachs and brains full.
