Interview Is a face to face conference between two people about something.

An interview between an applicant and a prospective employer gives both a chance to assess each other. For the employer it gives him/her a chance to assess the applicants personality, alertness in answering questions, poise command of the spoken language and the like. For the applicant, it gives him/ hert a background of the institution, its potential as a working place, its philosophy and objectives, the working conditions among others.

Handling a Job Interview 1. Make an appointment either by mail or telephone 2. Be at the place at the appointed time 3. Know something about the institution where you will apply sio that you can answer questions intelligently 4. Be at your best 5. Knock before you enter 6. Bring credentials such as your registration card, residence certificate, tax amount number and the like Dressing for a successful interview You want to make an excellent impression. It is important to give the image that you are trustworthy and competent. You may expect to wear scrubs on the job, but appropriate attire for a nursing interview is business or formal.

Answering interview questions Prepare good answers for your interview questions. You can expect questions on a number of topics. Your interview will explore your training and qualifications, your previous employmentand work history, key competencies you will be required to have for the job, your motivation for the job, and general nursing questions related to the position. You will need to explain your experience in nursing as well as your desire for the position and why you should be chosen to fill it. Defining your strengths and weaknesses as a nurse will be expected. Do your research and anticipate any questions that may get thrown at you. In turn, have relevant questions to ask the employer. This will show that you are prepared and professional. Your questions should be insightful and enforce your motivation.
