The Transforming Rehabilitation programme has created opportunities for staff in Probation Trusts to form new social enterprises. A group of LRPT employees have seized this option and have registered omentis! a "ommunity #nterest "ompany $"#"%. #n future omentis will ta&e over the management of the e'ternal contracts that have been previously awarded to LRPT. #n a "#" any financial reserves that are accrued are reinvested into the company. omentis will not have (share holders)! but staff will have associate membership which will bring certain rights and responsibilities. The governing board will be made up of e'ecutive directors! staff directors! service user directors and non*e'ecutive directors. omentis will be an inclusive organisation and everyone will have the opportunity to have a say in how it runs! e'plained LRPT +irector "arrie Peters. External contracts to be held by Momentis Contract 1 * The "riminal ,ustice +rugs Team $",+T% that provides drug and alcohol services to men and women on "ommunity -rders. Contract 2 * The Reach Pro.ect! which receives funding from the /uropean 0ocial 1und $/01% to deliver employability programmes Further Development for offenders across the /ast idlands.
