katchment area shown in Fig. 2. Each ditch has a rectangular section (b = 2y). The longitudinal slope of the ditch = 0.0003 and Manning coefficient , 1/n = 50. Consider, C = 0.7 and I = 150 mm/hr. You are asked to do the following: 1- Draw a sketch to show the locations of suggested ditches. 2- Estimate the dimensions of each ditch, b/y = 2.
